*Finally able to get passage to Fort of Kings...Kyle leaves Ferrit asleep in their cabin and goes up on deck. The night air was cool and the on duty crew that night were busy with their work to notice. Just a few months before none of them would even have dared to venture more than a few miles away from the Mistone coast. He looks up at the sky at the "Circle of Seven" as the deckhands have started to call it. A thought of doubt crosses his face.*

"Is it really a bad thing this happening, I wonder? It has a...pleasing symmetry to it. Ilsare would appreciate it."

*A deckhand comes up to him and taps his shoulder. Kyle looks to the man.*

"I'm sorry sir, but the captain wishes to inform you we will be stopping at Fort Vehl first. Picking up supplies and cargo bound for Fort of Kings. He apologizes for the delay and promises it won't take more than a couple of days."

"Very well. We've been trying to get there for a few months...few more days won't matter."

*A rogue breeze blows on deck as the deckhand leaves...giving Kyle a chill down his back and he returns to Ferrit below...*

//Hope you don't mind me naming the formation. Think it would make it easier to write about.

Dear friend Andrew..

Missed you at Stormcrest. I was at the Deliar temple in Port Hempstead which took many hours just to see the priestess there. Not my original destination...but not giving up.

The Deliarites are generally happy that Deliar and Prunilla "Dance together" as they put it and to them it seems Deliar is pleased with his faithful. That's all they told me about the stars.

Ferrit and I are trying to get to Erylin to see the Shindelarians. Difficult...since the ships here are reluctant to leave port. Unless you have a different plan...that's where we are going. We will get together soon.

Ok...the gods are getting mischeivous...

The constellations and stars that are attributed to Deliar, Dorand, Goran, Lucinda, Prunilla and Shindelaria have all moved into a circle around the one attributed to Aragen. This has formented a general concern in some...panic in others. Tried to get to Erylin but the ships won't leave port because they say the can't navigate without the stars in their usual positions. Can't say I blame them...it is disconcerting.

Something is going on with them. Something that my Lady Muse sees fit to not join them. After all...Ilsare does not like Aragen much and chooses to stay away. I am ill equipped or very knowledgeable about such things. First I am going to speak to the clerics at the Deliar temple here in Port Hempstead.

But I will need some guidance from the Heartsong. Some inspiration to why this is happening. Couldn't hurt...

*Kyle keeps staring up at Ilsare's Heart wondering if she will join the circle. Seeing Aerdin in the center gives him an idea. He heads towards the Deliar temple in the market building. He turns to Ferrit (if she has found him by now).*

"There has got to be a reason why Aerdin...blast him...is in the middle. Maybe the clerics of Deliar can tell us. Deliar is one of the six and an ally of the Heartsong."

*Frustrated by the reluctance of the captains at the Vinn Dolan docks...Kyle heads back towards the Crimson Eagle Memorial where he meets Ferrit whom he had caught up with a few days earlier. The sky was turning to dusk and the stars in thier new positions were becoming visible in the night sky. And right on schedule...the doom sayers started calling out their predictions of doom.*

"Ceela...unless you know of a way to get to Erylin other than by boat...we are stuck here. The captains are just too nervous about the stars and their new dance in the sky. I say we look for other guild members nearby and see what they think of this." *Looks up at the stars.* "What I wouldn't give to be at an observatory right now..."

*Kyle was sitting on one of the benches outside the house in Krandor in quiet thought when he noticed the movement of the stars. Puzzled...he goes into the house to get a looking glass. Upon finding one...he looks at the new positions of the stars growing more puzzled by the minute.*

"Strange. Stars don't usually move like that. I'll need to speak with a priestess of Shindelaria. They'll know better on what this means. Ferrit will want to come too. Better find her..."

*Before he leaves...he takes his Spear of the Keeper's Guard off of the weapons rack and packs it. He has this nagging feeling he will need to become profcient in it's use.*

So far so good...

No one has taken notice of someone dressed as a guard. Even did a favor for the captain of the Silverguard in Port Hempstead. Trent's his name. Got some stick from some kobolds nearby. Guess word hasn't reached there yet.

Cleaned out some vermin in their sewers...delivered some packages here and there...

I keep an ear out for anything about the murder other than the escape. Any boasting or some other reason I was set up. I'm wondering if I had offended someone enough to do such a thing. Can't for the life of me think of who it could be.

Guess I can start with who Caroline was. Nice girl. Not a 'professional' I don't think.

Got to get a change of clothes. The guard's uniform is starting to get ripe...

Little late...wanted to play the original campaign and crashed at character creation. Deleted the suspect file but still crashed. Only way I got around it is to log into Layo...log out and stsrt a new campaighn. It works when I did that.

I need guidance...

My life has stopped. I don't go to the guild hall much anymore. At home...Ferrit and I barely say two words to each other. I find myself just wandering listlessly around Port Hempstead or Krandor...no rhyme or reason. My blacksmithing has suffered. It even has been a while since I wrote anything in here. Life just...stopped.

I don't know why. Don't remember when I last felt good about anything. I need help sorting things out. Maybe some time at the Breath will sort me out.

Maybe life will start again...

One lesson always reminds me on my path...

One must know his limits. Unfortunately...finding those limits comes with a high price.

The...Wyrmsbane Ordeal I'll call it...was just such a limit. That it was presumed to be a simple journey to recover some ancient artwork was arrogant  so say the least...deadly to say the worse.

Magics that played on emotions...angry undead...and elven statues on a inaccessable atoll proved to be more that we can handle. We lost Amgine to the undead...almost lost Elly to them...Jil cast into an inconsolable depression...too high a price to ensure a sponsor in the Council for a building project. Way too high. But Andrew says we will re-group and better prepare to try it again...we Ilsarians are always optimistic...almost to the point of hubris.

Maybe my limit has been reached as well...maybe the Path of a Master is coming to an end...Maybe I was not meant to walk this path to begin with...

Life's path takes many twists and turns...

This one is a good one...and unexpected. The ball itself was a grand gathering of Erylin's society. Her nobles and commoners alike...it was a bit overwhelming at first.

It was at the ball that the surprise had come. After mingling with the many guests and dances with Ferrit...Her majesty the Queen addressed the crowd. She praised those who serve the crown today...and solemnly remembered Erylin's fallen. She also eulogized Honora for her service to the crown.

She then announced the formation of a new branch of the Knights of Erylin. They will embody the spirit of co-opertation in people from all over for the common good. I was surprised when I saw that Ferrit and I were named as honorary Knights.

This is a high honor. Honorary or not...I'll try to live up to the ideals the Knights represent. Quite a twist in my path.

Honora would have been be proud of us...
