Roleplaying / Impromptu Quests
« on: January 04, 2008, 11:13:07 am »
when a dm is running a impromptu,it is not the right thing to send out invites in tells to have your friends join.  Large parties can be fun, but 20 people with spells on, makes for a very laggy adventure. Some people also have issues with large parties and crash due to their computers, so please. Everyone likes to be part of the action, but have enough respect of your fellow players, and  let the ones being lucky enough to be in the right place enjoy the quest.

General Discussion / Merry Christmas All!
« on: December 20, 2007, 06:27:56 pm »
It's been another fun year as usual.

Thanks to the GM team, the builders, the forum administrators, the players, the factions, my enemies IG, my comrads as well, all the people who took time to RP with my characters and even to the well spoken gnoll NPC merchant in the Corath Temple.

You've all made this year enjoyable.  Layonara has always been the nice escape from my busy life and even though I only get on a mere two nights a week it certainly is worth it.

So once again have a nice safe and healthy christmas everyone and we'll meet again next year I am certain.

Best Regards,
Polak76

*when one takes a closer look, they can see the sign at the front that says "open"*

((okay, I guess I'll explain ooc now.  I'll be opening the inn up atleast 3 days a week for atleast 2 hours each day (not counting special opening events, with entertainment, Lalaith may plan).  These openings are simply to have the Leringard Arms act as a normal inn; a place to eat, drink, relax and tell your tales amongst others.

With that said, I can only garauntee opening it atleast 3 days a week for atleast 2 hours a day.  My life is never planned and I will always take presidence in RL events then Layonara and I will not be able to say in advance what days I can open it... However, if you see this thread updated, it will mean that I've opened the Leringard Arms at that moment (makes sure you check the hours I posted it of course).  Then send me a quick "tell" in game to open the door for you.  Most likely, if you see me in game, it will mean, I'm either crafting, doing a quest that suits my character, or opening the inn.  So you can send me a tell asking me if its open as well if you see me online, I wont mind.

It will also allow my character to hear about adventures and on whats going on in the world without having to exactly go on them.  She has quite the opinion on adventuring right now and I have it so she only goes on them if she feels they will help her with her studies to wizardry.))

General Discussion / *sings* "Every player is sacred..."
« on: May 22, 2007, 05:59:13 pm »
You know that movie? :-)

Seriously.  Every single player, whether they've been here from the beginning or just for a week, is sacred.  We're a community in a growing desert; anyone that finds their way to our oasis needs to be treated like royalty.  The "elders" of our own community need to be treated even better!

I am imploring all of you to take a moment and thank the other players that surround you.  Sent them a tell ingame, "((I like what you've done with your pants!  Want to go slay orc?"

Our home here on the Layonara servers has changed dramatically in the past few months.  More changes, I have no doubt, are waiting in the wings.  Let's shore up our fellow players by attending their player quests, listening to their back-stories, and being respectful of them as people.  Let's support our team by exploring their landscape.

I, for one, feel lucky to have a place to see and share tales.  See you in there!
