She takes her place in the seat offered for them, and politely declines the wine, "Thank you Captain Rae, but I must decline, however feel free if you wish. I hope the news we bring will brighten your day as well and be worth the expense of such a treat."

She gentle squeezes her husbands hand, seeming content to wait for the arrival of Captain Rae, her mind still set on carefully monitoring even the most subtle change in the Al'noth for intrusion or manipulation either from the room or outside.

Rumour Has It / Knowing that Captain Rae
« on: October 13, 2014, 07:38:28 pm »

Knowing that Captain Rae prefers to do things privately and securely, especially in their case.  Elohanna addresses Emily directly, notincing the look of concentration displayed on her features. "I understand your hesitation and your concern, if there is anything we can do in the moment to alleviate some concerns. Feel free to ask.Lieutenant Wang,  Otherwise the reason for us being here, would be best explained to Captain Rae, in a more secure location."

Elohanna keeps mindful herself of changes in the Al'noth for anything out of the ordinary, that could compromise the safety of their meeting from subtle changes in the energy, to any attempts to scry on her or Andrew.

As Elohanna travels between North Point and The main Prunilla temple, she keeps track of the other dieties, watching to see if Aeridin, or Ilsare have moved as well.

« on: October 03, 2014, 12:44:28 am »

When was the last time the the stars had shifted, it had been awhile since Elohanna had thought about it, and not until she sat around the fire in center, did she begin to remember the details from so long ago. The sky was full of dust back then, and some believed the sky would never been seen again and around the time of the famine. Now it was happening again, and it truly unsettled her. When the last fight occured between the God's, Aeridin had chosen to forbid half elfs, or half species of any kind. But this didn't seem to involve Aeridin. What could it be? Whatever it was she was certain that they did not want to be caught unprepared and thought perhaps it was time for another visit to North Point to visit her own church, and find out what they may know, if they had heard anything yet? Perhaps on her way to North Point she would hear more.

Elly would help in the testing as she has previous experience with disease from her studies in Hlint, though she would bow to those with great experience in this particular area.

//depending on the time for the quest this is Elly's actions if I can't make it.

Development Journals and Discussion / Re: Striking a Cord
« on: January 25, 2013, 12:12:58 pm »
I have this song stuck and it won't come out

It had been a long time since Cord had been in the mood to sing, but she had made her way to Center, and in doing so met up with new people she had never had the chance to travel with before, making new friends along the way. And while she could not completely understand it, she had become more comfortable with her own voice, her own songs, and let herself be inspired by the moments, the situations and the people around her. It had in truth surprised her, how out of the blue she just sang what was on her mind.

She wasn't nearly as afraid as she was before, and her audience truly did enjoy her voice, and that approval to her, the receptiveness translated into a greater confidence in her songs. It made her happy, made her beam and made her want to return to her mentors, Sehky and Andrew, who she had been avoiding for awhile because she had been blocked and unable to move past the last lesson that Sehky had given her. Still the block was there, and she needed the patience of both, to push past it.

That is where she on her way to now, to see them, whoever she came across first, and hope they were still willing, and understanding of how she had been feeling and could offer their wisdom to help her.

She had sort of retired from Cailomel's settling in her home in Hlint, Kyreth had become her first priority, her son who she adored dearly, and a chance for her to do things right, learning from the hard lessons of mistakes she had made had made her appreciate all the more this chance she had been given to do something right.

There was no other place she would rather be, as she looked down into her sons beautiful eyes, and adored him, and became content to make their home something special, inviting to Aden, and a memorable place for their son. She had no regrets about moving from Hlint, and raising him here, Aden had his workshop below and she had her pantry above.

Still if the odd request came up she and Kyreth would head into town to meet some of the pack and do a bit of work, before returning home, but being a mother agreed with her, more than anything.

She no longer dwelled on her mistakes of the past. Everyone makes mistakes, she made hers, learned from them, and moved on. She had chosen to let the past go and move ahead.

She simply refused to let them consume her. Her life right now was all about this small bundle of love that had been created with Aden and her family is what mattered most to her.

It is happening through the help and support of my dear Mage Blossom, Celador, through Lynessa's support of my being his assistant, through the generous support of William, a blessed paladin of Toran, the hospital is finally coming back to life from its slumber.

Lady Galathea has returned to offer her aid and support, and I only hope that Glitch'nich will offer his skills as well to support our cause. Though I know their help is voluntary, it is still welcomed, and appreciated greatly.

My little Rose, Melaa is becoming such a beautiful young lady and I think, and I can see her becoming closer to the Sisters, here at the hospital and her interest in healing blossoming as well.

She is always so eager to tell me more of what she has learned. And I know if her father were here she would be telling him everything. I still find it hard sometimes that his path has taken him away from us, but I also understand that he needs to find himself and I am not part of that path, I do hope for Melaa though that he returns because she misses him very much, and its hard for her to understand why he would leave.

Through the sisters insistence and the years that have passed though I have met someone who has captured my heart, again and I find myself surprised at how close we have become in such a short amount of time, but our paths were meant to cross and I am looking forward to sharing my life completely with him.

She carefully tucks his letter to her into her journal before taking out a fresh clean piece of parchment, and dabbing her quill into ink to reply to him

My Dear Mage Blossom,

Your letter reaches Melaa and I, on our way to Mariners Hold as it happens to meet with Andrew, as he has encouraged us to come visit so that he can continue Melaa's lessons, and I can meet with Priestess Elohanna to see if there is anything we may do to help each other.

In short the sisters have insisted we take this trip and get out together to get some sunlight and let them do what they do best in peace. I know this letter will find you well before we arrive and I look forward to hearing all the news you wish to share when we arrive.

Melaa says to tell you also that she misses Lynessa, and to tell Clarisse, she wants to have a tea party when she gets there.

All our love,
Your Desert Rose

The sound of Amati warmed her heart, broke through the emotions she had felt, and had been holding in, and all she could do was lay her head in Andrew's lap while he played for her, just played what was in his heart for her. He had finally completed Amati, and it was through no help of her own. But now her beloved had found the his heart song again, and she was sure that his playing pleased his Muse as much as it did her.

Still it did not chase away the pain she felt, that she had not be able to console him as she alone believed as his wife she was meant to, she had not been able to ease that pain.  She felt in that moment despite his own words, the pain he must have felt before Amati was completed, that she just was not enough to be what he needed the most, and the tears fell down her cheeks and into the leg of his pants in a steady stream.

The music of Amati was his heart lay out for her, a gift unlike any other she had heard him play before, and she was so very thankful that he had chosen not to give such a gift to Razariem, and that of everyone, he played for her Amati before anyone else had a chance to hear such beautiful music. Andrew had chosen her to hear and while she could not hear as he did, she appreciated his gift with all her heart.

She could understand now when he told her that the wood, the strings, the sounds were bathed in all that he was. She understood how he poured his love of his music and his Muse into this one delicate and temperamental part of him and how much it meant to him to share this part of himself with her, as she poured her heart and love for easing suffering into her each person she helped. She understood how much he wanted her to understand how important this meant to him.

How was it she had not truly understood her beloveds passion for Amati, until this moment, and now she was in tears. He sang for her when he wouldn't sing for anyone else, but she had not been able to truly grasp his passion, and make it her own. She had tried to convince him that even without Amati he was perfect to her and he had to find someone who understood him, and she was not that person. How could she not have understood before.

No matter how hard she tried to stop the tears, they continued to fall. A compilation of pain and love and warmth he had always been there for her through every moment she ever needed him. He played Amati for her. He played his heart for her. There could be no greater gift and she felt she did not deserve such but he did. He waited to play for her alone.

There were simply no words she could say to convey in this moment how much his gift to her meant.  And there were simply no end to her tears, as he played for her.  They had been through so much together and over the years, and it was if part of her heart that had been closed up without her knowing it had opened up to him and the only gift she could think to give him were her tears of understanding.

Rumour Has It / Re: Fire in Angel's shop (Port Hempstead fields)
« on: January 09, 2013, 06:46:32 am »
After taking some time to regain her thoughts and clarity of mind, Elohanna visits other shops nearby, and inquires with the guards near the city gates if anything similar has happened within the city, since she is not allowed in. She also takes more time to study the remnants of the fire to see if there is any familiar magic to it, such as the magic that was used in the Farms fires, not far away.

She tries her best to figure out if her captures could have been behind it, or someone else, not letting it simply go as an accident, until it is absolutely proven so. She also asks to see the letter to see if she can determine its origins, and to see who could have sent it, if there is anything familiar about the handwriting.

And she just generally tries to keep herself busy trying to keep herself occupied.

When she hears of the threat, she goes back over the store and studies it closer, once she is in a clearer state of mind, trying to determine if it was indeed accidental or someone trying to claim credit for something more nefarious and them being right. Studying the Al'noth for remnants of being used to cause the fire, and sends her findings to the Tower Academy, requesting the aid of trusted friends there to help them, with protections for the shop, and offering to pay for them herself.

Then settles in the back of the shop with Andrew, glad he is at least singing for her. holding onto him gently.

Very minor burns are seen on her clothing, but on the whole Elly is physically fine.

"The rug caught on fire. I thought for awhile the entire shop was going to go up. But I found a scroll and managed to put it out before it spread to far. The benches are destroyed though and their may be some smoke damage to some of the equipment and instruments. But the shop is fine."

She looks between the gathered. "We can't put any more rugs near the fireplaces though. That's what started this. We were lucky no one was hurt. I was the only one here."

The Silver Buckle / Re: Hungry

Stiring from her reverie early in the morning, she readies for the days task before she heads downstairs. Mostly nibbling at a piece of bread, with a touch of honey, and a cup of milk as she finally sits down at a free table. Clearly her thoughts are elsewhere, in front of her lying a parchment and in the hand not holding the piece of bread, she holds her quill, and then begins to make a list.

Cost?

Available Fish?

Recipes?

Storage?

Preservation?

Who is selling what?
