Since Layo is really trying to get away from the word Drow in game, the language ear itself should be updated to say dark elf language ear too? Shouldn't it, eventually anyway. If possible. O.o

It is with the greatest of sadness that I write this letter to inform all those who knew Goldwin Blacknight, of his passing. He died as he lived protecting the innocent and less fortunate. He died saving the life of a child. There can be no greater sacrifice given, than a life given to save another.
I write to tell you of his courageous spririt, of his giving heart. Of a friend who will be missed and never forgotten. He always offered to help where he could, and protect those he loved with a understanding that his life was lived for more than just the trivial possesions, but to help those who needed him to become better people.
I am one of those who became better for knowing him and I will never forget my treasured friend.
Goldwin Blacknight will be sorely missed, walk always in the light Goldwin Blacknight.

A letter addressed to the church of rofirein reaches the hands of the Juticar by a small messanger boy.
Dear Juticar of Rofirein and trusted friend. You had helped me previously in proving that I was not a vampire, as falsely accused.
You had seen your way through to the truth then and I believe you will now see your way to the truth of the events involving my murder and that of my friend Jaelle Thornwood. I trust you to be just in your judgement of Aerimor Lightbringer.
I am asking that I be allowed to be present so that my friend, Aerimor Lightbringer, is not alone. He should not have to face this alone and I hope that his willingness to come before you, and put his life now on the line to attone for his actions, will speak highly of his character.

I feel compelled to write you this letter to voice my thoughts, though you and I may never see each other again. Nor see eye to eye as I am fully aware of why you sent me away.
Since coming to the surface the pain I have learned to embrace has only drawn me closer to our mother. I see it is her will to test my devotion to her, though in testing them it also seems to test my resolve to walk in the darkness. To inflict the pain and suffering upon my servant does not seem to bring me the joy it once did, it seems now to be just a routine. His pain is not enough to satisfy me and certainly not our Mother.
The facade I hope will hold, though there is much resistance to slavery among the surface dwellers, we have had to take up a cover of companions. A thought that truly disgust me to think of but one in which may be a key to exposing the thoughts of Shame.
The surface vermin do seem to be most willing to help, a weakness surely to take advantage of. I will watch and follow them more to discover all I can. Perhaps befriending a few will lend to my credibility and further our cover.
It would also seem a few among them grow suspicious and they will be the first to fall, if they try to pry to far in places they ought not concern themselves.
We shall see, for now I must reassert my power over my servant and let him know I have not grown weak and that his suffering is not at an end. I have asked him to share his thoughts but I know there are things he does not share. I have given him a bit of room to move, to do what he pleases, to learn what he can and perhaps to share that knowledge with me.
I am uncomfortable with the strength he is gaining though I do prefer him able as well. It still.. bothers me.
I will be watchful and mindful though, these vile creatures that dwell upon the surface, are weak but they have purpose and skills that for now I lack, but can take advantage of.

The song that whispered upon the breeze as the wind blew through the mountains above me was a song that very few ever stopped to listen to and even fewer could appreciate for its beautiful soothing comfort. Spider understood it though and listened to me and seemed to even appreciate my understanding and ability to want to genuinely grasp all I could from Mother nature. Spider and Elgon seemed the only ones that understand. That song lulled me to sleep many nights beneath the blanket of stars that I considered more home than the bed I would sleep in beneath the confines of the walls I left not so long ago to find my sister Sarah.
The sounds of the animals singing made an even more beautiful symphony as my thoughts turned to those I care about. I have learned I can do little to help Sil as it seemed even she has grown stronger in her own abilities than I have. I can only let her make this journey knowing that should she need my help I am here for her.
I do not think that many can understand how difficult it is to be confined to the city walls, when I seek to be closer to natures embrace. I wish Sil could truly understand but I know that so much has been troubling her with the lichs memories she has had to endure.
I know it hurts her that I avoid the city but surely she has to know how much I love her and would do anything for her. I want to be closer to my sister and tell her everything but then sometimes I feel she should already understand more clearly than she does. Maybe being apart so much growing up is why she seeks to be closer now. I do not want to push her away.
I want to be close to her as I am to Elgon just not where she wishes me to follow. I am just not sure how to let her know. Please give me the wisdom to figure out how to make things right between my sister and I. I do love her so much. I just wish to be understood as much as she wishes to understand.

I can't begin to say how much I have enjoyed playing here, how much I have loved to watch my everyone's characters grow and change, watching my own grow and develope and how those interactions have cause so different things to happen through the course of my time here. Though I truly enjoy my time here its coming to an end because Real life is having to take a major priority. Due to the current closing of the facility I work at, at the end of this year. I have had to begin my search for a new job. Well I have found one I really believe I will enjoy very much that starts on September 10th. But because where I work now currently is already understaffed so much, my current employer has agreed to let me go part time, which will leave very little play time until after the beginning of the year. There are rumors that after the end of the year, Layo as we know it, will be no more, and maybe this is true and maybe a time for us all to change, but I know right now, my priority has to be real life, and supporting my family. So I may be around for the next week but after that you may only catch me on thursdays and fridays, possibly saturday and sunday... but anytime I have free I really want to prioritize with spending with my family. Layo has been my greatest RP experience of any server I have been on and I thank all of you, who have taken an interest in my characters and become good friends both RP and RL. Vows
In our most dire of hours we walk a path that seems so alone in our
lives. A veil covers our eyes keeping us from seeing what is true and pure.

My Beloved Ely-
Writing this to you as I sit on the benches overlooking Lor harbor. Should stop here more often as the view is wonderful.
Just got back from Belinara - a successful expedition with Clarissa, Rose, Omer, and Nye in which we accomplished several things. We struck at the base of a clan of lawless woodsmen; fought some air genasi and elementals who threaten passage through some hills near an important fort there; and explored another cave we recently found in another woods knows as the Kuhl Forest. Afterwards we rested at a vast stronghold known as Hilm Castle. We would have continued onward, but Nye and Omer had to depart.
Give Auhry my love and tell him I will be home soon. His coming into our lives was a true blessing, unexpected as it was. I will never forget finding our little elven lad hiding, shivering cold amongst the crates of our storage shed outside the house there at 118 Llast. It just feels so good and so right to have given him a loving home - even more so that he has come to call us his Mums and Da. He has stolen my heart, Ely - a dear son, and it means nothing to me that he is not mine by blood.
I love you so much, Ely. I long for your sweet kiss and gentle embrace, to look into your eyes so clear and pure blue as the open skies before the Darkening. You give me so much joy and inspiration, my Angel.

It has now been a little over 3 months since we joined our hearts as one in the Minaret of Symphony gathered with our friends. I am no longer Elohanna Min A'Litae, but now I embrace his name. Elohanna Dawnstar. Although it seems like yesterday. We have been so blessed in many ways with the gift of true friends, brothers and sisters in spirit who have become our family and are there when we need them most. Who have given us the truest gift they could, in bringing the sunshine to our lives.
I had at first had my vows written. I had known what I was going to write. I knew it for an absolute certainty, and I still have them tucked away and will keep them as a reminder that as much as you can try to plan for life, there are always different paths our life can go and may take based upon a number of possiblities and choices we make.
Our honeymoon into the Jungles of Alibor, was beautiful, so truly soul bonding as is each moment, unlike anything I have ever felt before. The gentle caress of his soft fingertips, as I feel the beating of his heart through them. His blood flowing through his body, the lovingly way he brushes his lips against my own and holds me close. Looking into his amazingly gorgeous emerald eyes, and knowing for all eternity we will be as one.
Krys and I, Us, together with Auhry our precious elven son we found hiding around our home in Fort Llast, and Nemo our beautiful daughter. Have brought happiness into our lives. They have brought to us understanding and patience. They are such blessings with whom we can share our lives with unconditionally and unyieldingly.
Among our blessings, the school is beginning to flourish. Eli would be so proud to know that his knowledge and wisdom is being shared with those worthy. I have finally found someone who shares my love of scribing as well and he has graciously accepted the offer to become my apprentice and student in the school of magic. I could not be more thrilled.
Steel and I, have also been corresponding recently and I hope to begin his and Shiff's lessons again soon. I believe it is necessary though, as does Omer, that each student needs individual instruction so that we can understand who will need the most individualized help.
It is my hope that I can personally get to know each student, to learn who they are, their background, because I believe that knowing them will help to make the lesson's go much more smoothly, and build a connection between us. It seems some of the Angel's may also be interest in joining the school as well. Omer is also wanting us to consider a different name for the school. Something less wordy I think is his idea. Omer and Elly's School of Magic is a bit long but I wonder if he would go for something like "the enlightened."
I will just have to ask and find out what he thinks. For now its time to get back to work.

Most of you know me as either Amireana Mandrine or Elohanna Min A'Litae, although I admit I am working on a third character which will hopefully be a delightful change of pace from the normal characters I tend to play. I am not revealing anything yet.
In realife I am married to Frank, also known to many of you as Lyle Underoot, Melanna, Treana, or most recently the crazier of his characters Emwonk. My name is Nancy and I live in Oklahoma where I work in a call center environment for the banking industry which I have done for over 8 years now.
Frank and I met over the internet in a poetry chat room back in 1998 and hit it off well. We were married in august of the following year in a little park near the beach. Frank is a blessing and we have a beautiful daughter to show for our faith and love for each other.
I enjoy writing as a creative release of pent up emotions. I am for the most part very easy going, although I do get angry occassionally. I like to write poetry, short stories, and role playing.
The first time I seriously got involved in RP was through a game called Freelancer, a few years ago. I still consider myself very much a novice and feel most comfortable sticking to characters that most closely mimic my own personality type.
I am however trying to broaden the scope of RP and possibly in the near future, take on an slightly evil character.
I am 29 years old and love to read books such as TS Eliot, Robert McCammon, who my husband encouraged me to read and I now love to read. Robert Jordan, John Grisham, Dan Brown. There are wide variety of genres in both books and music that I enjoy as well as many different types of movies I like. My favorite Sci Fi series are ST: TNG and Stargate: SG1 and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I have a huge list of movies I enjoy but I will not go into each and everyone of them.
Anyway This is just a small part of the person behind the characters. Feel free to ask any questions anytime. I am usually very approachable.

Due to a recent surge in scroll request I have found myself in a spot. I do not have any Mahogany scrolls. I am hopefull that some fine woodsman or woman will be willing to quote me a fair price for 30 to 40 of these.
