Not to be considered destructive, here's my opinion.
As brought out by Pibemanden and briefly mentioned by orth in another thread of miniscule relevance to this one, bringing the resting locations any closer would require building bunk beds over the furnaces and hanging hammocks between tailoring dummies.  Thats a GREAT idea!!

I have a lore login of stolen, same as here, but I dont have access to my characters on that login. I think I also have a lore login of rorschach67, same as my bioware login, and I think I used to be able to login with it but lately I can only login with my stolen ID. I used to have access to my characters and I'm not sure which login it was the I had the access with. I suppose I forgot my password to the rorschach67 login. I have tried all my normal passwords.

The check to find out whether or not a tool breaks happen every time it's used, not every time something is returned. So for example, if there's 15 attempts to dig at a deposit before a single piece of CNR is returned, then there will be 15 checks against that tool, not one.
And another thing just out of curiosity. Does this mean that there is a check on the item every time you click on the deposit, or every time your pc says "arrgh, digging is hard" (or whatever the statements are), which I guess would be once per round?

Sorry for the incorrect placement of the post but originally it wasn't a bug report, just a question if things were supposed to last longer since the update.
The original question was if they should "last a little longer". I never assumed that things would "last forever". I had 4 shovels break on 3 deposits and then one break without any sand. I was just curious.

Just would like to point out that Jrizz's idea does not get rid of permming, just overhauls the idea.
And there have been other ideas that don't get rid of it, just overhaul it and make it a bit more "player friendly".

I do get your point and I cant disagree that its not fair to everyone. Nothing ever is. I just think its the most fair to the most people. If anyone ever finds some solution that fair for everyone, that might be the first time it has happened.

Taking away a level is only trivial for people who can go get a boatload of xp in a night. That isnt the majority of the people here.
