Rolling for it is ok, but if I won I'd have no use except to sell or trade it.  So I'd say auction it...or:

Let's settle it in the Arena...pick sides...5 vs. 5....sell tickets and donations made to Tilmar victims...team with last man/woman standing wins the emerald and they split it amongst them.

I suggest we have a private auction where only Rift Party members can bid.  Highest Bidder gets the Emerald and the proceeds are split amongst the other Rift Party members evenly.

Very good!  Thank you for your replies Aerimor, Milton and Sty.  So it's the ultravision, ah ha.  I will experiment with the recasting of ultravision after rest and see if that helps.  Also I will invest in one of those dispelling stones and play with that a bit.  Very good feedback and thanks again all.

Thanks for your post...that is interesting.  The fact that Gimli has the blindfight feat may why you don't experience it, or because you only cast on the monster, not him.

We just tried it again tonight in the area on Dregar where the Giants guard the Mohagany, and it happened again several times.  Tralek even woke up from his rest to find out the next Giant appeared invisible to him and could not target spells and if Tralek got close enough he could see the Giants but was getting a 50% miss chance in mele.  Really frustrating...I'll try again to just cast darkness on the monsters, not Vrebel, and see if that solves it.

We sleeep after the darkness wears out...way after...when we find a nice rest spot; then after we rest Vrebel says "I can't see you again"; so he's gota log off/on to remove the "effect".

I wonder if it makes a difference if I cast darkness actually on Vrebel's head...or if I just cast it on one of the monsters or the ground?  Not sure if that could solve the problem or not...

Good point...I left that out...I always cast ultravision on both of us before I use darkness.

This lingering affect where Tralek "appears" invisible to Vrebel only occurs after we rest after a fight where darkness was used.  It's a pain for us to have to log off to fix it, but it's a tactic we like to use.  If we continue on, without loging, then Vrebel suffers a 50% miss chance on his next attacks.  It's as almost like, after we rest, the scripting is saying the darkness affects are still following Vrebel around without the help of ultravision being cast...if you can follow that logic.

It may be something we have to deal with...just wondering if someone had a fix to it or a trick to use to avoid this affect.

Thank you all for your replies and for confirming the 5/- damage resist. on zombie form.  He's pretty ugly anyways, and only deserves the lesser resistance.

Just an update...I was on Krashin, in zombie form, and a kabold hit me for 7 damage, 5 of which was taken off because of damage resistance and the other 2 points of damage was inflicted on me.  So, looks like Zombie does not get 10/- like lore and wiki claim, and only gets 5/-.
