« on: November 22, 2012, 07:25:01 pm »
...now that we're all post stuffing and wondering if we can fit in another slice of pie (no, but give me a few minutes), Happy Thanksgiving to all the Yanks out there.

btw, deep fried turkey...rocks.  And I didn't burn the neighborhood down.

The Silver Buckle / Hungry at the Buckle
« on: November 15, 2012, 07:38:22 pm »
Word gets around that Andrew and Elly, both of whom have been spending a lot of time at the Inn with their adopted daughter while Andrew campaigns for Arelius Witherspoon to earn a council seat, are making a push to finalize their compliment to the Silver Buckle clinic and Sanctuary - the Silver Buckle food kitchen.

All Buckle renters, benefactors, and owners are invited to attend as plans are laid.

Leringard Arms Inn and Tavern / A New Tenant
« on: October 23, 2012, 01:06:27 am »
The lovely blonde wanders her new room with a smile bright and infectious.  He's feeling a bit insufferable and can't stop grinning as he pens a note to Steel.

Steel

You have a new tenant.  Her name is Jenna Gale, I have rented her the first curtained suite past the by-the-night room.

She's quite delightful and flirtatious and has said she's willing to brew and cook and act as a bartender or waitress as well; I have paid what I believe to be a month's rent for her, two thousand True, in the display case behind Lily's station.  Beyond that I'm sure you can work something out to mutual satisfaction.  I gave her a tour and set her loose in the kitchen.

P.S. I think she and Sebair will get along famously.

Your fellow Innkeep,

Andrew

Humming as he seals the letter in red wax, he sets it with Lily to deliver when her employer returns.  He leaves Jenna unpacking and cooing over the luxury of her expansive and immaculately detailed space and heads into the Leringard night with a wicked grin.

Yep. Still good to be him.

The Silver Buckle / Too Frail a Thread

History viewed from the inside is always a dark, digestive mess, far different from the easily recognizable cow viewed from afar by historians.

In Center, by the fire, stories will be recited and sung - the rise and fall of the great and the terrible; sieges and wars from eyewitnesses; tsunamis, gods, the deeds of the living and the dead. World-changers young and old are invited to speak or listen so we are not doomed to repeat.

Discussion of current events and involvement will inevitably come up.

Rumour Has It / Arranging for A Trip Into Vehl
« on: September 03, 2012, 10:59:26 pm »
Ty Reid-Dragonheart has discretely asked around for assistance following up on something.  He's cagey when pressed for information but says it involves Vehl and undead.  And he insists that he is scouting this mission.  He's not ruling anyone out to come unless he suspects their motives but specific people are invited: Melody Widgeweaver, Armand, Kat, Robb, Emwonk, Cord, Argus, Samantha, Naldin, Fleur.

//If you were on skelly bat quests with Melody, sign up if you can; if you want to join, pm me, it's mostly an open character quest.

Trade and Market Hall / Looking for Instructor
« on: September 02, 2012, 08:47:58 pm »
In cramped script, posted in adventurer gathering places.

Looking for someone to teach me that leg-sweep thing to knock someone over.  Will pay for instruction.

Ty R-D

//this would be rp to prepare him to take knockdown as a feat at level fifteen, thinking a few sessions at most.  Ideal opportunity for newer player with the feat.

Rumour Has It / A Red-Coated Man Asks Around Leringard

...as to the whereabouts of one Kell Ereptor and puts a little coin on tables to motivate word to get around.  He's not hard to find nor to recognize, splitting his time between the Twin Dragons and the Leringard Arms, often entertaining or playing bartender at both.

The Silver Buckle / Announcing: Silver Buckle Gong Show
« on: August 06, 2012, 08:07:39 pm »
Comedy is defiance. It's a snort of contempt in the face of fear and anxiety. And it's the laughter that allows hope to creep back on the inhale.

THE SILVER BUCKLE ANNOUNCES: THE GONG SHOW

Mulnari, Mai Ninth, Fifteen Hundred and Two starting at eight o'clock in the evening.

Bring your best song/dance/joke/story/impression/costume/skit/trained animal act/juggling/acrobatic attempts/bow and arrow tricks/illusions/contortionist/yo-yo tricks*

A panel of judges consisting of anyone not actually performing will either ring the gong on their table (BAD) or not ring the gong on their table (GOOD).

Prizes will be awarded as follows:

BEST ACT (as measured by lack of gongage):  2000 True coin and whatever I have lying around.

WORST ACT (as measured in deafening factor of mallet on metal): 2000 True coin and some other junk.

The public is invited to compete**.  Dark elves, dark elf sympathizers, Sulterio lovers, and people wanting to blow up my inn strictly prohibited.

//*Please keep your act short-ish, no more than a few minutes if you're feeling really prolific. Feel free to borrow something already done.  Anything goes here, really.  Be aware I may ask for skill/ability checks based on your act just to spice up the results - roll with it!

//**GMs are welcome to bring NPCs; if they win, they get the coin.

But he'll be remembered, with advantages
