Just for Fun / Trick-or-treat age limit?! Really?!
« on: October 27, 2010, 12:08:28 pm »
ABC News reported that some cities are putting age limit on trick-or-treaters, anyone over 12 years old could face jail or fines up to $100. Are they serious?! I'm sad now. Honestly, I don't see a reason why they should limit the age to 12 years old. I remember trick-or-treating up until high school. Okay, until my junior year in high school. ;) However, I don't think its right for anyone to put a ban on a fun childhood/teen tradition. Most of us eventually grow out of it; when the school dances and house parties become more appealing vs. roaming the cold streets for candies.

What do you think? How old is too old for trick-or-treating? I'm sure there are plenty of parents on Layo who'll snacks on their kids' Halloween candies here and there. Heck, if I was a parent, I would. :D So do you think it's reasonable that certain cities legally banned kids from this holiday? And where does this leaves us? What next? A list of for 'approved' Halloween costumes for trick-or-treaters? I feel like writing an angry letter to those cities, but they'll just toss it out.

Ask A Gamemaster / Quest chest
« on: October 11, 2010, 06:41:48 am »
Hiya, I bought the quest chest b/c I've seen other players use it and it's quite helpful. However, I have no idea how to get the chest back now. Does it vanish after you log? I've tried bashing it out similar to a camp fire but it doesn't seem to be working. :o Help please, I'm stuck with two chests and one has a dead body in it *frowns*

General Discussion / How do you post pictures on thread?
« on: October 08, 2010, 03:52:48 am »
Hiya, I don't know much about Layo's script or any script for that matter, lol, and this may be a silly question, but how do you post picture on thread? For example, Warchild's Motivational Posters. What do I type in to make the picture appear? I want to post something in my Character Development Journal but can't seem to figure how. O.o Thank you.

Fixed Bugs / Smoked Jerky
« on: September 24, 2010, 06:13:53 am »
Hi, I was in Hlint using the Inn's kitchen to make Smoked Jerky: 2 sage leaf, 2 raw deer meat, 2 salt, and 1 branch of hickory. I used the Baker's oven on the left. I made two. It showed that I acquired two Smoked Jerky, but I can't seem to find it in my inventory. I've tried relogging, resting, going through transitions; still no success. >:/

I'm quite sad. Kylie's been nonchalantly nagging at Milo to get her those branches of hickory and now she doesn't have any jerky for him. I'm tempted to pick a feat just to chop woods for cooking. Sigh. :( I don't think it's the Baker's oven that's bugged because I was able to make corn bread in the same oven.

Thank you, I'll try that recipe again when I get my hands on more hickory.

Trade and Market Hall / +1 jewelries for sale
« on: August 28, 2010, 01:49:49 pm »
*Kylie walks around Hlint's and Port Hempstead's inns and posts up flyers*

I have enchanted jewelries for sale, two rings and a necklace. The wearer will become more wiser if the jewelries are worn. I purchased these fine jewelries from the Angel's Guild so you can rest assure that they are of the highest quality. I have since bought new jewelries from them and thus I have no more use for these. I will sell each ring 1250, and the amulet 1250. If you want to purchase all three, I will sell all three for 3,500. You can let the innkeeper know and he will be able to find me.

General Discussion / 215 Dalanthar House - can we use it?
« on: August 25, 2010, 11:30:28 pm »
Hiya, I was introduced to this house by other players. Today, I noticed that there was a chest with keys.. are we welcome to use the house? For example, would the owner(s) mind if we store some items in their large storage box? Or is the key only to use the portal? I'm curious b/c I haven't bought a house yet *mutters something about how she can't even afford a horse, let alone a house- ha!*  and I don't want to step over any boundaries by using someone's house without permission. Obviously we won't take anything that doesn't belong to us, but would you please specific what we're allowed to do and not do in your house? Thank you.

P.S. actually, I forgot the house number, failed.  But it's the one in/near Rondara Lake. It's the house by itself with a herd of cows.

Development Journals and Discussion / Kylie's Silent Confessions
« on: July 15, 2010, 10:37:53 pm »
On a particularly hot summer night Kylie awoke drenched in sweat and tears. She had that dream again; the one where her imagination constantly plays in her head when her faceless mother would leave her in front of the gated church. She shook off the dream, wiped away her tears, and slid out of the bed.  She tugged on her boots and tidied the bed. As she gathered her things, her mother's letter fell out the front pocket of her bags. She stared at the letter. Somehow, her sadness of being torn from her mother was replaced with anger and frustration. Tears dwelled in Kylie's eyes as she resentfully picked up the letter. She didn't want to go back to the church without answers. She was determined to find her sister, as well as questions her mother's abandonment. Kylie understood well enough that times were difficult when her mother had given her up. Yet, she cannot grasp why her mother has not looked for her, nor had come to see her. Was she a child to be ashamed off? Was she a mistake that her mother wanted to forget and pass the responsibility onto the priestess?

It was probably getting close to dawn, she thought, but it was still pitch black outside. As she walked out the inn, the dream crept into her thoughts again.. She looked up with tears in her eyes, still seeing the misty stars mocking her and she shivered.  She wandered for what seemed like hours and ended up in front of a lake. She looked at herself in the reflection, her pale creamy skin that lights up the night, her mesmerizing round blue eyes that is filled with imperceptible sorrows, and her cracked rosy pursed lips. She looked ill. The dream has haunted her and played with her slumber. Kylie tossed a rock into the lake creating ripples of herself. She hated the way she looks. The priestess had told her, she resembled her mother.

As the viscosity of the water finally brings to rest and her reflection is back to haunt her, she caught a glimpse of the holy symbol around her neck. Quickly her fury disappeared as she realized her faith in Beryl. She knows Beryl watches over her children and this offered some solace for Kylie.

Trade and Market Hall / Box of Aloe for sale.
« on: July 13, 2010, 05:39:23 pm »
From distance, the locals noticed a beautiful young lady with short golden hair walk into the trading hall. The young lady is dressed in an exquisite, form-fitting, short dress that is made from the finest silk. She exudes much confidence and her spirit is high. She has earrings and necklaces to match her outfit. From head to toe, every garment and jewelry has been chosen to complement each other. As she walks around the Market Hall posting up a sign; she looks pleased with herself. One of the locals was curious to see what she had posted; he approached the leaflet and it reads:

"Attention travelers, I have taken the time to collect a box full of aloes.
I am looking for a buyer and am willing to sell for the right price.
You can pass the message to the inn local inn keeper and he will get words to me.
Don't wait long."
