Sounds like a fun idea, too bad I can't attend due to a Christmas party I'm already scheduled to attend during most of those hours in RL.

Right... I guess I am about to put some of the things into the ground now, so I would like to know what I should aim for. Lots of riddles and a long path to the real treasure or a rather long trip in search of one chest. Please post your oppinions here

I like the trail of clues and riddles to the real treasure.  its more fun and can span more trips ;)

Remember, notes in the chests are not persistent.  Unless the item has a tag in the system, it will not be "recreated" when dug up.  A treasure chest is not a buried persistent storage crate.  Think of it acting more as an ox pack.

Just my 2 true reminder  :)

Actually you can place a note in there without the writing on it being disintegrated, at least that is how I understood it worked for Eorendil when Caighd was hunting for a treasure. :) But I will test it beforehand, else I will find another way.

Actually parchments WILL keep their writing when dug up. Ie you can write on a parchment, bury it, dig it up, and it will still have whatever message. The TITLE will revert back to the default, but the message will not. So don't put any clues in the title, heh.

I'm not sure how it works, but it does work.

((Edit - Too slow!))

Okay this events happens in around 7 hours from now. A good thing to bring for it would be a quill and a shovel. You need the shovel to dig up some of the chests and the quill is handy for sharing the clues with your group with the command "~~speak", just use the quill on the clue and type ~~speak in the chat window and wait a few seconds then the clue will be read out loud to the group.
So remember this happens tonight and someone bring a shovel and a quill :)
