Half-Giants

Half-giants are as hard as the life they lead. Like most half-breed races, half-giants are usually never fully accepted by either of their parents races. However, their natural strength and health make them hearty workers. Among humans, a half-giant can usually pass as a barbarian due to his immense size and sturdy build.
Personality:  Half-giants tend to have the gruff, no-nonsense demeanor of a dwarf. They tend to brood. However, they are often driven to prove themselves and their ambition has few limits.
Physical Description:  Unlike a half-elf who tends to represent a blend of both of his parents, a half-giant tends to break this mold. Half-giants are well muscled individuals with little to no body fat. They typically stand 6 ½  to 8 feet in height and weigh from 250 to 400 pounds. Females tend to be only slightly smaller but are as well muscled and athletic as any male. All half-giants, including females, are totally hairless, something most giants find disturbing. They tend to have large foreheads, a gift of the Giant parent. Half-giants reach maturity at about age 18 and can live to be 100 years old. Most half-giants result from the mating of a giant male with a human female although the reverse condition has been know to happen. Few half-giants ever settle down, those that do however, produce strong and healthy offspring.
Relations:  Half-giants as a general rule tend to get along well with both their parent races, and have better relations with both than, say, half-elves. They dislike half-orcs and find elves to be self-centered and distant. Half-giants are generally creatures of strength and action and they will work well with those of similar mentality, barring half-orcs.   Alignment:  Half-giants are as diverse as humans in alignment. Few, however, fall into the extremes of Lawful Good or Chaotic Evil; instead they are usually somewhere in between, tending to the chaotic.
Half-Giant Lands:  Half-giants have no lands of their own. They are usually widely accepted among humans. Their acceptance in giant lands is equal to that of a human or half-elf.
Religion:  Those raised by humans tend to favor Vorax.
  Language:
Half-giants are readily fluent in common and in Giant if raised in both giant and common languages. Half-giants raised by giants tend to speak Common with Giant grammar. At the moment, there is no in-game equivalent for the Giant language.
Player characters must have a minimum intelligence of 12 to be fluent in another language.
Names: Half-giants favor hard, powerful names with strong consonants and few syllables. Half-giants that are given human names tend to change them when they come of age.
Adventurers: Half-giants tend to make their careers where their strength can work to their advantage. Half-giants are commonly found fighting in the games, working in the military, or testing their mettle against the many adventures in the world. While Half-giants may occur in any of the giant types, player character half-giants are only of the hill giant variety and thus cannot be lawful.
