casting area effect.

Dyness:
a while back I remember casting within an area of party members was an issue. I was wondering we must rp that casting such thing at lighting will hit those on our team, or is it now that we have control of the skill and do not have to worry about that. Thanks... in my case, casting lighting is the issue.

Thunder Pants:
spells such as lightning bolt and fireball will still hit party members, infact most AoE spells will, that is why nowadays you don't see too many fireballs being thrown people are afraid of hitting teammates so they cast different safer spells

Great thing just happened regarding this tonight...Path, Tamara and a Angru McDuff a dwarf padre, go in all cocky to have some Undead for lunch in the Broken Forest everything going great Tam holding them back me shooting away my arrows and the padres goes and throws some kind of area spell, maybe sonic, the undead just laugh it off and Tam is just swaying there with cute stars around her head like a cartoon while they tear her apart.  As I run in to play hero and hold them off her, she just wakes up enough to get 10 feet away.  By this time the padre is dead and just as she was getting the coup de grace I was happily going: "need help here bleading to death".  I saw them stamping the unsconsious body of Tamara as I was recalling....Ain't realisism sweet in a sadistic sort of way, lol  ;)
