I haven't figured out what this is for, can someone enlighten a young dwarf?
-
It is used to speak in the dwarven tongue which other dwarves will be able to understand.
Click on it to activate it. Then just type: /dm [message]
That simple. :)
-
just a slight correction
/dm [message
for example
/dm [I am axodeth of clan stonecutter
-
Odd, I thought the right bracket was necessary. Unless it's different for Elvin ears. *Shrugs*
-
I just use [message], unless it's in a quest with DM present, then it's /dm [message], it sends it to dm channel, if you type /dm, same as /p sends it to party only, or /t "Name" sends a tell...

The correct syntax is how I listed it. Leaving off the right bracket has no ill effects though. :P

We were wondering about this... does it work with just the brackets (no /dm) ?
-
Without the /dm you would just type exactly what you typed! with the brackets aswell.
"typing: [Hail ye filthy bugger]"
"output on screen for all to see if in talk mode: [Hail ye filthy bugger]"
-
When you activate ears, they say, "Type /dm [(what you want to say in brackets)]".
Might be good to change that to simply indicate brackets.

Actually [message] work fine for me.. It shows my characters say it in their languages and translation in the action part of the screen..
