If LORE weren't down at the moment, I'd look up who was behind him.  As I don't - Kudos to the player who plays "Steel", another tiefer.

Why he doesn't speak, I don't know, but he does a tremendous job of not speaking.  He catches another character's attention, and then (all in stars, no less) mimes whatever it is he wishes to convey.  He doesn't cheap out with gestures that miraculously explain everything - he points, he looks pointedly, he gestures to eyes and ears and uses what props he has.  I find him an engaging character.  Again, Kudos!

If my memory serves me, its the player of Cole Norsemen. I cant remember the name, only when I saw cole under his avatar.

Correct me if Im wrong. And yeah, steel is great.

Cire, Kinai, Hawky, and Tallia Spellfinger So much fun rping the bear attack with you guys =D. Allowed me to put out there a bit that Tath isn't jsut a human who happens to be able to be a bear at times, but he is actually a bear AND a human, and when you stab at a bear, he's not very cuddly anymore =P.

anyways, awesome time looking foreward to future sessions =D.

Kudo to the player behind Geldar. The Teifling vs. Aasimar, Chaos vs. Law discussion between your character and Dur'Thak was awesome. I can't wait to try to turn you to the dark side again :)

And btw - Dur was genuinely shocked that you fought with him in Prantz :0)

Just giving another round of applause to Dur'Thak. Roleplaying with him makes me feel like I'm watching a really good movie, one that can bring me to tears :P Love it.

I want to second that, the group dynamics were awesome and everyone contributed in their own way.

Not sure of the player's name but the character is Balthazar Woll.

I made a new character, a druid, who just started exploring his 'new world' last night and had the fortune of running into Balthazar Woll - a highish level fighter. Normally I would make a decision NOT to party up with a character that I know (OOC) to be considerably higher level than mine ... but ... the next couple of hours we travelled around and I really learnt it was possible for two characters of differing level to wander together and stay well within the spirit of the game/server at all times.

Balthazar, the higher level PC, used a non-preferred weapon, got cramp (or something similar) during certain battles that rendered him incapable of joining in, ran off in the wrong direction, advised against fighting too-tough foes, etc ... effectively 'de-levelled' himself beautifully for the duration of their wandering. I thought it was really impressive.

Kudos to Shak Xer

Shak Xer is one of our new goblin characters.  When Shak first met my character Nyeaeana, he asked Nye if he hunted goblins from the red fang clan. Nyeaeana told him that he uses lots of green stones for the purpose of brewing potions.   Shak then tried to reason with Nye, stating that many humans were slaughtering the goblins and stealing their food supplies.  Nye was not so responsive to this, as he sees the red fangs as being a strong and healthy clan.  Shak then pleaded with Nye to spare the goblins and only take the green stones which are unguarded.  Nyeaeana was still admit that as the red fang clan is strong and healthy, he was not concerned about a few dead goblins.  After several days of negotiating, Shak offered to give Nyeaeana a tribute of green stones, with the agreement that Nyeaeana would not hunt any red fang goblins.  *toothy grin as Nyeaea realizes that he such a fearsome hunter, that the red fang clan is offering him a tribute to spare their lives* So the deal was made.

Shak Xer is gathering green stones from unguarded spots, and will give no less then 15 stones once a week (( RL 2 days )) as payment for Nyeaeana's solemn oath that he will never hunt the red fang tribe.  To which Nyeaeana agreed that he will never hunt a red fang goblin.

That is a lot of work for some good RP, and I think that someone should hit that little goby with an XP wand.

Over the past couple of days, Ceviren's been more or less a permanent fixture of the Temple of Rofirein in Fort Vehl, thanks to the indulgence of the Rofireinites who allow him the use of their holy pool... In that time, he's come across a number of interesting characters, and some grand RP has been had from it!

First and foremost...

Rick Greenheart. A halfling druid whose different shapes Ceviren takes for different animals entirely, his cat form has become something of a temple pet, while his snake form has to be dragged out of the temple by a handy Earth Mephit from time to time. I have to say that this character has made my time at the Temple more complete than any other, as the intermittent interaction over the course of a few hours really made the place feel more real.

Nisbet Narine (played by Mirrim Cade). A fine example of deity relations! Beryl + Aeridin = Happy... Gemcrafter + Enchanter = MUCH happy! Ceviren and Nisbet hit it off from the start, and I must say that Nisbet is as close to the ideal of a cleric of Beryl as I can imagine. A gnome played truly well! And another working-class cleric. ;)

Drexia Faison. A well-played monk who also added to the sense of the-world-turns in my time at the temple. Every last time she had been in the Temple of Rofirein, not only had Ceviren been there in an RP sense (because he's usually there meditating and preparing potions when I'm not on), he had been there with me playing him... Every time. As he had just run out of knuckles, they went off to lay to rest the poor fellows in the Gloomwood, and the RP in there was excellent as well.

There's others out there that have shown some amazing RP, but... The point of this post is to highlight those who bring the world depth to my eyes; who help illustrate the tapestry of life on Layonara. The ones who make it feel like I'm not just logging on and spamming potions... But rather that my character's in a living world that moves on its own.

And that, honestly, is one of the greatest things I could hope for as an RPer.

Just wanted to thank all those who participated in the Stormcrest guide to Folian's temple.

Thanks Rodlin for taking the lead and providing so much information on the way.

Thanks Emie and Allean for being the perfect rangers.

And thanks for Vellucia for being the most annoying person I ever seen in a party :D   The Forest of Folian will never be the same, you have spoken more words in there, than what generations of rangers have.

I really enjoyed the event and was laughing so hard OOC it is just not true.

Thanks a lot all of you.
