Would it be alright for the players to somewhat police this IC? As long as we don't hurt anyone that is? If we try to make it clear that necromancy is shunned and necromancers will be ostracized?

We have tried to do that before and sometimes it is still tried.  But quite often, I would bet fully 25% of the time, it gets out of hand and messages fly to the DM channell and the GM's get PM's of frustration etc.
It can be tried (and probably should be) but people need to know when to stop and not get carried away.  That is what ends up happening at times. :(

I am of the opinion that any questionable RP should be followed with an explanation tell (just ask Brisbane about the first time she met Barravelve ... if she remembers ...)

I will try to keep everything civil if I end up trying to police the necromancy.

Bris most definately remembers the first time she met Barravelve and sometimes still recounts it to people.

I was not offended by it at all but it was nice to have it followed up with the tell saying just so you know that was all IC thanks for the RP.

I'll just make sure not to log on as Barravelve when Plen is around *grin*
