On Holy Water

<< < (2/7) > >>

dfiremann:
There is a post on the trade and market hall for Chanda to sell holy water.  Case and point Ed, we all know who Chanda serves...

Aragon:
Well, besides this thread seeming like a bash on Chanda.  Let me make a few comments about the thoughts posted above.

Not all characters are going to care about where they get their alchemy supplies from.  Especially a Nuetrally aligned mage who wants to make his inks, heck a desperate CG mage might not care.  If it matters to you where you get your holy water then by all means don't buy it from Chanda.  Same goes with healing potions or anything else I might sell.  I don't post my wares up on the board, but I will respond to others needs.  Here again, don't want to sell or buy from me that's fine.

As for the usage of holy pools in temples, if you are only allowed to use pools in favor with your diety then your basically saying only certain characters are allowed to gain skills in enchanting.  Last I looked there aren't any Nuertal to Evil churches on Mistone.  So basically you are putting restrictions on who can do certain skills.  This is fine if this is the way the GMs want it.  I have complied with the GMs requests in the past.

So following this logic here are the following deities that would not be welcomed to the Holy Pool of Ilsare.

Unfriendly: Rofirein, Dorand, Katia
Enemy: Pyrtechon, Vorax, Shadon, Branderback, Corath, Aragen, Baraeon Ca'Duz, Sulterio, Vierdri’ira, Grand

:
I never saw chanda mention her deity even once, so if she attempts to sell me as far as i know its ok:p
im not sure how sago knows or how the temple priest would know either!

Zhofe:
There is a temple of Branderback in Pranzis, a temple of Deliar in Port Hampshire (and Deliar is enemy to more good than evil gods) a temple of Mist in Leilon, a temple of Shadon in Port Hampshire, a temple of Xeen in Karthy. All except Deliar are neutral or evil.

If they do not have an enchanting pool, well then get to donating!

Just a small question though ... assuming there are enchanting pools in temples of Aragen, would Aragen care who used them if the holy water was being used to persue knowledge?

Nope, knowledge is used by all.  Progressing knowledge is done by all.
