'Strutting' Down the Cat-walk -Meoww!
« on: September 09, 2015, 01:20:10 pm »
Sally Jayne Frufru, a modeling recruiter from Port Hempstead, will be hosting an amateur fashion show in Center at the Bullseye hoping to "score" new and upcoming talent. Can you shake your hips? Do you have mad tailoring skills? Do you have full, beautiful, puffy lips screaming for the newest shade of red? Then enter and see if you can win! Drinks are half price for ladies.... perhaps even for feminine looking men! //Judges will cast ballots by dice roll for fairness. Winner will receive a pretty hefty lump of coin. Lots of RP potential... and quest reward!

A brunette in a lavender

A brunette in a lavender dress is seen milling about the craft halls of Hempstead, working with silk, satin, and gold thread for hours on end.  At other times, she is seen wearing a sleeveless tunic, arms rippling with muscle as she embroiders and stitches, again for hours.  She never seems pleased with what she finishes, and ends up back working on her designs.  It's curious what she'll end up with.

A couple of "maidens" (Term

A couple of "maidens" (Term applied very loosly) keep shooting glances at you...evidently they are crafting their gowns too, and the envy in their eyes is thick as thieves in the night. You even catch one trying to incorporate one of your ideas into her creation. A little later you see a dwarf, full beard and all, step out of a dressing room closet wearing a flowery looking skirt. When the snickering starts he yells "Its a kilt I tell ya... a kilt! You buggers ever seena  kilt before?!?"

Competition was fierce. Six
« Reply #3 on: September 22, 2015, 01:07:08 am »

Competition was fierce. Six contestants strutted their stuff in outfits created under pressure and with a lot of sweat and tears. They answered deep personal questions for the crowd...and under the critical eyes of their competition. Lace, leather, and silk were the theme of the day. Dance moves were broken out, cat o’ nine tails cracked, and thigh high stockings reflected light as hips swayed back and forth!

Judge Bonjour Amour had a tough time making a decision… but in the end his ballots were cast in Tyra Dragonheart’s favor. She was crowned the first “Ms. Center and was lauded with flowers and a coin cash prize. She won a date with Bonjour Amour, and had her image magically captured by Diddly Tankard for an upcoming print campaign in Port Hempstead for Sally Jayne Frufru’s new regal purple silk line of clothing… BUT

Little did she know there was a disgruntled contestant in the crowd that whispered a foul little curse given weight by Al’Noth and years of practice… hummed from the lips of a master, just as her image was captured by Diddly.

Later in Port Hempstead, the printing presses rolled with Tyra Dragonheart’s image. Somehow it now had a huge witches’ nose with several large warts, and her eyes were crossed! Bonjour, having seen this horrifying image stood her up on their date! He decided he could not be seen with someone looking like that. The sexy Arnie Sneal chuckled when she heard him mutter, “Darn, that girl must have been wearing the makeup thick!”

An amused woman is seen
« Reply #4 on: October 05, 2015, 09:59:27 am »

An amused woman is seen holding a discarded parchment printed with the image of a hideous humanoid female with the word 'freak' scralled in bold atop the word fashion that was originally on the parchment.  "The Newest Freak" it now read, and while she was not offended, she thought it would be equally amusing to find out who was behind it.  She would start with the organizers of the event.  One would have to have record of the contestants.  Even if the names on it were false, it would be a good place to start.  But she wondered how amusing the perpatrator would find having their own face rearranged.

This time by fists instead of magic...

Diddly Tankard was literally
« Reply #5 on: October 23, 2015, 09:31:00 pm »

Diddly Tankard was literally shaking in his small, delicate, fashionable, suede boots while being confronted by an angry Tyraa. “I swear miss! I had nothing to do with the corruption of the picture! I did not even know such a thing was possible!” Fearing for his life he hands over a list. “These were the other contestants…please, please, please, don’t hurt me?” He stumbles a little as Tyraa lets go of his lace “puffy shirt” and he quickly exits the shop throwing fearful glances over his shoulder.

The list reads:

Bianca Dea,

Farros Galdor,

Andrew Reid

Tyraa Dragonheart

Jack Riggerson

Foresta Fiveoaks

Tyrra read the list, slowly.

Tyrra read the list, slowly.  She knew it wasn't Andrew, considering he wasn't malicious and was a 'friend.'  Farros...  maybe.  He seemed to delight in his chaotic little show, so messing with Tyrra's image wouldn't be outside his perview, but she didn't think he had the magical skill for that.  She'd have to have a chat with him.  Forresta seemed unhappy to be there, and druidic magic doesn't generally allow for the  transfiguring of others.  So either Jack or Bianca remained, and she recalled Bianca being somewhat confident she would win.  With that in mind, she left a 'tip' on Diddly's desk, and made her way out of the store unnoticed.
