"I tell you it's no longer safe!" a man with a handcart shouts at a guard. "The cloud hovering above the Great Rift has never been so black and I've lived near it for nearly fifty years!".
  The guard tries to calm him and explain that he only needs to sign a form to be allowed into the city.
  "I don't care about your forms! My home got burned down by lightnings from that cloud, let me in!" Pushing his handcart past the guard he makes his way past, leaving the guard staring northwards, supressing a shiver...
