A few of those devout Mist followers and some of the Mist curious hiked for the cliffs to watch the storm as it rolled in. Just before the storm's full force hit the area, a few people trickled in to the gates exclaiming that the Mistie "people" were holding some children over the cliff side. As the terrible storm blew in to the area finally, the boats were lifted onto the docks and people driven into their homes for shelter.
The roar of water passed through the area, rattling rafters, shutters and shingles loose. Some livestock penned in town were washed away, the wells flooded with sea water as the tides lapped in. All told however, there was minor damage. Reports began to trickle in hours after about the loss of two ships. Later still rumor is spread about three Misties entering town with three storm soaked, salty children. One of the three Misties reported that two sailors had been lost to the waves, but the children were cared for.
Some still mutter about the first reports of Misties trying to sacrifice children to their goddess however.
