Spellgard is alive with activity and rumors, though much of the activity is as a result of the rumors, which all seem to have started with the arrival of a several ships and the persons supposedly aboard those ships. The subject of these rumors varies greatly, ranging from speculation about people discovering magic powers to some mysterious and deadly artifact to working on some sort of defense for this growing dragon problem. Word of many notables in magical and academic circles arriving in the famed City of Magic has spread well beyond the city's borders. Rumors that plans are being made for a caravan or expedition of some sort circulate. The increased presence of guards, soldiers, horses and coaches being housed, stabled and staged throughout the city seem to support this speculation.
