Anomaly in the Al’Noth - Falls Forest
« on: September 28, 2015, 05:04:09 pm »
Reports begin to trickle into Bydel Castle. None have been confirmed as of yet, but several witnesses are being debriefed by authorities. Rumors indicate that some type of wild magic disturbance suddenly appeared in the Falls Forest, accompanied by a hurricane strength gust of wind and large chunks of ice falling out of the sky. After a few minutes it winked out of existence.

A librarian scratches his head, remembering a recent report filed regarding a disturbance that was banished by a small group of wizards in the Falls Forest. He scrawls a quick note and sends a messenger to the appropriate authority.

Vincent Coste the specialist wizard made a sweep of the area in what was described as a professional and orderly fashion. He discovered a penguin. Now an ex penguin at the hands of bandits. There was wild surges of magic noted but no obvious cause. Stephen Peotr arrived to offer what assistance he might and entered the forest as Coste left.

Despite an exhaustive search

Despite an exhaustive search which nearly killed him, Stephen could find no specific rift, but reports confirmed wild magic in the Falls Forest area.

Addendum:  Stephen also reports strange large mushrooms growing in the forest near the pear grove.  He has no information on whether the Al'Noth and these are related, merely an observation.  //honestly can't remember if this is part of the map, but it struck me as new.  mushrooms look like something from the deep, 3 different pods.

Lola, after resting, changes

Lola, after resting, changes her mind about the Araganite temple and instead finds her...friend? Belmir - how strange it is, to think a dwarf a friend, although he's certainly cleaner than most and does smell like lavender - and heads to the massive woods outside Prantz to examine the second anomoly. It's grown, and there is an additional dead body decaying nearby the magic vacuum. She tests the limits of her understanding, without attempting to banish the anomoly.  //pm incoming
