Autumn Happenings
« on: October 06, 2013, 03:13:53 pm »
All over, people have started decorating to welcome the change of the seasons and the harvest.  But as the nights grow longer and the days grow shorter, strange things have started happening and no one seems to quite know why.

*Aesthir hears of the news and frowns*  A missing scarecrow spree?  for the Gold Dragon's sake ... Elemental things burning and drowning people , and now this. .... *He returns his gaze upon the papers in the desk, then makes some quick notes and then he deploys one of the investigators under his command to take a look upon the reports near the area in Vehl*

Gisom Malki had barely started drinking when he first met a scarecrow investigator near Vehl. He saw no reason to stop drinking as the serious fellow explained that scarecrows were vanishing from the fields. He nodded wisely as if to suggest there was some  prospect he knew anything about scarecrows that could help. He tried with drunken solemnity to recall something useful from his past that would help. However what he actually did was tut and blow out air and shake his head,  forced to declare he had never heard of such a thing before.

He wished the fellow good luck and with alcohol fuelled valour, mixed with the need to sleep, he told the investigator not to worry he, Gisom Malki would guard the field.

Without another word he lumbered over the fence into the middle of a nearby field and sat down waving a Dwarf sized tankard. "I got this one friend..I got ist covered."..........."Hshere Birdie, sbirdie...burdie!"

After a vicious attack on a festival in Center which left several people dead, including at least two children, the scarecrow attacks seem to have ceased.   As the fall festivals and selling of the harvests resume, many people offer thanks to the brave adventurers who defended them and seemed to find the source of the issue and do away with it, whatever it was.
