Several houses have been broken into along the coast in the city of Port Hempstead. Only certain things have been taken with many valuables left behind and undisturbed. Residents are cautioned to lock their doors and be on the lookout for any suspicious personnel along the docks or inland waterways of the city.
Guard patrols have been increased while this rise in burglaries continue.
