Reports begin to circulate that an extremely agressive Owlbear has taken up residence in the Whithorn Forest. Several woodcutters have been mauled and three others are missing. Authorities have offered a 1,000 True reward for elimination of this threat.--------//Please be aware the soul mother is now active, and this impromptu quest will be difficult. You have been warned. If the threat is eliminated, please provide a screenshot and IC description of what occurred to claim your reward. It is suggested OOC that you bring a few friends...     ;-)-Rave

I be Gisom Malki an I aint afraid o' ony Bear, big or small - heres a thing though I know the Whithorn like the bottle o Dwarf's Head here...Aye an ifn ye ha' a mind I could take another this one is empty....but the thing is ..I aint seen nae big bear not above or below ground. Naw it's a legend- bit like mysel !

Authorities receive another report... Another woodcutter is missing in the Whitehorn Forest. He is now two days overdue for delivery of his load. Company officials fear the worst.

//No one said Gisom was bright (Is that even a real wisdom score?) and his search pattern skills are a bit chaotic!

 

Gisom leaner, fitter, and sober arrives at the Leringard Arms bent on fixing all three problems. "Now heres the thing Innkeeper, I ran out of drink days ago, I mean I still have some elven wine and sich but real drink is done so get pouring while I tell you a tale. Oh and these nibbles are paid for, but I should say you might want to have a bigger plate if you hope to be busy......anyways ah yes the big bear thing in the woods eh...eh yeah he's Orc food now.

Met the fella lurkin near some fools orchard richt in the Whithorn. He had done fer an ejit o an elf, and worse still a full grown Dwarf too!

I mean he was tough, did fer all my potions he did. I tried the sword first, not worth it's weight in gold no so I took to my double axe now that made better work but I had to put some distance and get my scythe into action. To be fair the big bear could soak up the hits alricht - and wasnae feared of ony thing at all - no it was the big blows wi the scythe put it doon. Not afore he had me bleeding like a little gnome richt enough but thats all ahind us now...it's drinkin toime....better bring me anudder!"

As Gisom was quaffing drinks and loudly telling the story of his recent conquest to a growing crowd of admirers, a well-dressed man shoulders his way to the bar and grins at the dwarf. He has a long waxed handlebar mustache, and as he looks at Gisom’s drawing he twists one side of his facial adornment and says “Congratulations master dwarf. I’m Slien with the local Woodcrafter’s Guild. Thanks to you our raw supplies are now flowing again.” He lays a decent sized sack of coin on the bar and pushes it towards the dwarf. “Keep your eyes open though, because we may post more work if our interests are again impacted.” He then heads to the door, oblivious to the elves at a nearby table who are giving both Slien and Gisom “dark and ominous looks.”
