A call for all teh kin

*a young-ish looking dwarf is seen traveling the byways and paths running around mistone with 2 young dwarfs at her side. The dwarfs are playing ball with what looks to be a stuffed giants head, or ogre (depending on who you talk to).

She stops by the various inns and markets along the road, inquiring about the kin what travel thru there and seeking news about a supposed gathering of the dwarfs.

In particular she seems to be looking for word on one grohin silveraxe. When asked for what she thumps her chest proudly and holds up a mighty nasty looking war axe and decries..."It be toime we be celebrating de valor of Varka, lord of de bloody gate! De youngins dun seem ter know nae of him an grohin be closer ter im den any of us. Oi be wanting im ter see bout splitting some heads open an fillin em wit knowledge! Oi be grenna rockbasher and dis be IceThorn de axe he dun gave me hisself. Have em send werd ter me ifn ye sees em."

She then smiles happily at the 2 young dwarfs who standing near her, and says "Dese 2 youngins be needin ter ere 'is story an udder tings of import fer der trainin'. He be de one what can teach em roight see!"

"Dat an dey be needin some roight gud exercisin fer der axe arms, you would nae ave seen any darkies round abouts would ya?" Her eyes gleam ferally with a just a 'tiny' hint of madness as she speaks.

She then heads out and on her way again with the two youngsters in tow who happily start playing kickball with a stuffed head.

*The rumors about Grenna reaches the ears of Grohin... at which he laughs whole heartedly* Aye, da lass be roigh'... ta bloody roigh'.

*He then proceeds to send birds to the kins he knows, telling them to spread the word.*

//let's try and find a good time for most to attend.. and hopefully Harlas will see this and would be abled to attend, as he's the one who was most close to Varka I believe.

Give me a time as my gmt conversion stinks..not sure who loses a day and who doesnt!  Say maybe Sunday  12pm gmt? I think that makes us americans (north nad south) midnight saturday I believe.

The GMTers should be on sunday, the edt/pdts should be saturday i think O.o  Everyone else...ummm...sorry but my brain is fried.

Agmundr begins hearing rumors about a meeting of Dwarves and drinking in local taverns.

Well'a'cerse 's drinkin' if ther's Dwarves. 'S only proper. Won'ner wha's'all about? Been a whoile since Oi seen Grenna loike, maybe she bring'er ta terrors along.

He shakes his head laughing and then takes a long swig of ale, thinking about Grenna in a mother's role.

//This may help a bit with the times, but I have my forums set to EST (New York) time and it says that it's GMT - 4. PST (California) is three hours behind that, so figure GMT - 7.

Sunday Oct. 4th at 12 p.m. (noon) GMT would be 8 am EST and 5 am PST.
If the event was scheduled for Oct. 4th at 12 a.m. (midnight) GMT, however, would make it 8 p.m. Saturday Oct. 3rd for EST and 5 pm PST.

One other conversion, if I remember correctly, is Japan is EST + 14, so GMT +10. Don't quote me on any of this, though. :p

*news slowly spreads and the kin are hearing the call, fond memories flowing like the best beer.

"De last toime we had us a pary loike dat we nearly destroyed de wildsurge! Cost a purty penny to repair dat back wall it did" One dwarf can be heard laughing.

"Aye, I amember seein some poor dwarf try ter toss one of dem oxes an its arse fell roight onter his head! Ha! Dat pooor fella was a sot! Got his head an arse load  dats fer certain!" laughs another dwarf raising a pint of beer.

And another adds "Aye...I neer did figger out how dey got dat ox off de roof o de bank! I knows dem treehuggers were all up in arms oer dat one!"

"Oi! I amember ol Varka was der fer dat! He spoiked some poor slingers beer and de feller looked loike a tree fer an hour afta dat! Watta hoot! De guy was already so soused he cuold nae figger out why everone kept tryin ter chop him down and trim is leafs!" Roars another.

"I heard tell one of dem younger ones nearly went blind when one of de old greybeards dun flashed him! Poor feller was neer de same afta. Heard he became a hermit somewhars an still screams in orror at de memory of it!" Laughs another.

Though the turnout was small de fellowship was strong. Some young ones learned a bit of the story of Varka and the bloody gate.

Master Fenrir told a little bit about his exploits in saving mithril and how he got the name father mithril.

Master Grohin talked abit about news from some of his exploits.

Thorgrist finally made it to the Bloody Gate after getting lost in the woods nad found out how much work it is keeping a couple  kuldarjh alive in a fight!

Az'ka had some ragery good fun!

And Grenna got a few kickballs for her kids.

Next time the warparty shoudl hopefully be abit more grand! hint hint

When Nokka wakes up sometime after the meeting, he starts rummaging through his backpack for his chainmail and finds a small crumpled note that reads, Dun ferget meetin'a Dwarves.

"'S wha' Oi git fer drinkin' las' noight."
