Chapter One: Convergence
[/SIZE][/B][INDENT][INDENT]The Gloomwoods Castle stands as an imposing structure to those that gaze upon its malignance and splendor. Like a pox upon Co’rys, it unnerves all with its haunting presence during such a cold and quiet night. However, the silence is soon shattered by a shrill scream emanating from the courtyard of the castle. Who will come to aid this damsel in distress?[/FONT]//The scenes will be set through forum RP. Once you’ve reached a certain point, a quest will be scheduled to deal with further development.[/INDENT][/INDENT]

*Armand finally aproaching to the castle, with Lacee beside him, he shivers once he hears the scream and gulping he start to move forward, trying to determine the source of the scresm, he stops short once he notices the rest of the people walking to the castle ( if he notices them of course )and ask non chalantly *

* Tane was running by on his way from Vehl to Center and heard the scream. A chill ran up his back and he stopped cold. He clenched his teeth, and turned to head towards the castle. He mumbles under his breath...*

With Armand at her side and her katana in her hand she hears the scream and steps foward ready to dash to the courtyard. Her face filled with determinated energy *she whispers* The scream could be that of a human and I fear no undead. If no others are here I suggest that together we should make our way to that courtyard.

*Maren heads for the Inn in Vehl looking for his trusty meat shield Deverian. Upon finding him he presents him with the flyer and they discuss the great wealth they can get by going and they set off for Gloomwood*

*he tilt his head and smile*For Goran oiled wheels you are right. If something really awful is going to happen to us , lets then be better faster than later *he stops a moment to think what he just said* mmm.. something i just said sound incredibly wrong . but onward .. ?Melody is not far from them, yet she is invisible to those without sight. She gets close enough to hear them, yet looks all about the area looking for approaching dangers while the others converse. [FONT="]?[/FONT]

Oh i completly agree sir, some people are really stupid **nods fast thrice* I am glad you are not of those people who thinks they are undead, and certainly you don't look dead, but neither undead looks dead, not to mention that if on the remote case that an undead could talk , they will try to confuse you saying that they are undead , don't you think? its a totally undead thing to do *nods thrice fast*
Anyway .. If you are not undead. are you perchance someone by name Alistair ?

[INDENT][INDENT]The exterior of the castle remains as it is, although from a distance you can see lithe and feminine figure in the night. She seems to be wielding a long blade and she hacks an unliving's head off and stops momentarily to catch her breath. She then slumps on the ground and begins cleaning her blade.[/INDENT][/INDENT]

*Looking over Tane for a moment, Armand looks over Tane as he questions who Alister is. and then when he notices the woman he turn his attention to her, awaiting to answer the question once the situation is free of danger *
*Armand gulps at that and gestures to the group to go forward * Guess we have someone else on this errand or perhaps one other people who thinks being undead herself **he start to move, loading his arm, he looks forward nervously, once they are about 30 feet he adventures* Hello. *he squeeks and then coughs trying to regain his usual voice* I mean Hello!!

Ty has been standing near an abandoned building. He recognizes the redhead, Armand, and Tane - the human and the halfling he does not. Not spotting Melody, and having heard a scream, he skulks closer to the female figure cleaning the blade by the slowly decaying tower.

**Lacee with her arm in front of Armand and him standing slightly behind her she nods to the newcomers recognizing Ty only but then introduces herself to the others. Seeing the woman with the sword and Armand loading his arm Lacee tries to hold him back for a moment** Not so fast my friend. I'm not sure if you should be the one to talk to her..*she looks at the others** We should be cautious in speaking and dealing with her. Anyone here willing to volunteer? *she keeps an arm infront of Armand while they observe the woman**

Ty focuses on the woman, moving away from Armand and Lacee and the others to pad up using what cover he can find.

**Leaning her head to hear Armands whisper she nods at his words and whispers back** It might very well be .........**she leaves off as she watches Ty head that way carefully and turns towards the back of them as Maren ad Deverian walk up. With the noise his flyer begins to make as he waves it around she quickly closes her hand around his to stop the motion. With a harsh whisper* Not so so loud...*points to Ty for them* Let's see what happens with him first. And if there is gold to be made..rest assured that you will get your fair share. She then turns her head back to Armand and whispers close to his ear* Are you sure that arm is well loaded?

Is the sky filled with gases and a mixure of suplhur, hydrogen, and other gases depending on the area and and height?
*grins at her as he makes a final setup on his arm , awaiting on her instruction still behind her *

Moves as close as he can to assess her condition and her awareness of the others, prepared to speak if she seems willing.

[INDENT][INDENT]Still out of breath, the lady sheathes her sword and regards you all calmly. Garbed in a simple robe, the longsword seems out of place in her ensemble. She takes a moment to look at all of you before speaking. She stands and puts her hands on her hips as she addresses all of you.
"How convenient. If you're all here to save me, you may as well save yourself the trouble and go home. I ain't no damsel to be saved. I highly doubt that you can even save yourselves from what lies down there!"
She points toward the castle and you notice a trail of blood leading to the entrance. She rolls her eyes and takes out a large book with sigils of the Al'Noth and begins reading silently.

*Armand looks at the figure and listens attently looking to the book and measuring what the book may be doing or the what she is trying,

Nonchalantly."Heard a scream, thought we'd check it out. So what's down there?"

*Keela moves to the side to let Armand come to stand with her as she listens to the lady** Sounds like she has an attitude. Doesn't bother me one bit. *Keela rests one hand on her katana and nods to the woman and then speaks.* Ha! So, question. Where did the blood come from and I'm sure you heard the scream. Want to tell us what's going on?

*Melody Circles the group looking about for other dangers and when she comes across the blood trail, she follows it scanning about to see if any tracks or anything was left behind.*

*Tane looks at others in the group for indications of support*

[INDENT][INDENT]Upon closer inspection you'll notice that a portion of her robes near her thigh has been rent. Small patches of blood are seen around the area and the wound has already been carefully bandaged. Amidst all the inquiries, she stops and slams her book shut.
"Since I can't properly memorize any spells with all this nonsense going on around me, I may as well humor the lot of you."
She puts the book to one side and gestures toward the castle.
"My associate, Alistair, is inside, and I have to get the fool before anything else happens to him. Otherwise, I'll be in big trouble."
She sighs and then chuckles.
"You're all looking for him aren't you?"
She then holds out a hand.
"Gimme' your flyers and we'll talk..."[/INDENT][/INDENT]

*Armand looking at her was about to think in a whole series of thoughts, lies and other machinations that might be happening on the mind of the said lady, but once he reaches to the part where the pink hippo is behind everything, he realizes that the hippo's can't breathe lava at least the pink ones, and discard the scheme, he then step forward * .... Oh.. okay. .

*Melody watches and waits to see the results of having to turn in the flyers does. She continues to watch about them for any more walkers that may show up unannounced.*

"Alright, here's the catch. Flyer or no flyer, I don't give a rat's arse. Just find Alistair and bring him back alive."
She points towards the entrance of the castle, her features grave.
"We were supposed to meet you folks but he decided it would be much more dramatic to give the job inside. That dunce."
She rolls her eyes.
"Any questions?"[/INDENT][/INDENT]

*Armand looks at the woman oddly* Dramatic? is this one kind of test or something? I take that the job is then yet to be earned .. **he nods* And you are here just to pick the flyers then huh?
Oh well... *he starts to move towards the Castle entrace* Lets hope this man doesn't believe himself an undead ....
*then suddenly stops* Wait.. This is just another job isn't it? i hardly believe that the job intended on the flyer was to come here just to be rescued in first intance. .. meaning we'll have another job yet to complete? or is the first job dismissed? *he looks at her with genuine curiosity*

Since we are up to save this human life and above all.... his mind. Its the worst of fates to live believing yourself an undead *he nods thrice fast as if all what he said made sense totally *
*then return the sight to the lady still awaiting for her answers *

Ty, your scouting, I think you would be our best bet." *smiling at them* "I'll not let either of you out of my sight though. But first....we want the name of the woman. The after that and no more questions...I'm ready to head in." **takes one hand and rests it upon her katana and one hand ready to hold Amand back if necessary**

*Melody listens on, a bit suspicious at what is transpiring. She wanders ahead to take a peek still unseen.*

No one has talked Trues yet... Me and Dev don't work for free. We got no problem getting this Alister out but...
*his words trail off as he waits for an answer from the Lady*

"The name's Elaine and Alistair is my business associate. He was supposed to give you the details of your job but seeing as how he's in a terrible debacle, I'm forced to take his place. Find him inside the castle and bring him back to me. We'll talk trues and treasure if you succeed. What say you? Do trues and treasure sound good enough?"
