Battles around Spellgard

Rumours spread throughout eastern Mistone about conflict in Spellgard. A small "war" to the account of those witnessing it that started at some point during Seplar 4 and ended on the night of the Flare, on Seplar 8. This very quick yet fierce battle apparently coming out of nowhere, all factions entrenching in secrecy to strike at the city during this particular time.  Amongst the halflings in the desert and nearby areas, it is spoken of the great aerial battles upon Griffon back that took place over Spellgard, some even saying that the Bird Lord himself was there to aid them. Fighting strange forces, some saying were simply angry or dominated animals, others swearing that they were angry druids attacking the city.  Near the coasts around the Gulf of Bagira and nearby seas, the leftovers of sea battles can be seen, derelict remains being taken into Forewarm Fort for salvaging or destruction. Patrols murmuring amongst the ranks of pirate attacks and the like, fended off by one mighty silver vessel.  Yet the most commotion surrounds the City of Magic. Many of its citizens returning to their houses after an emergency evacuation, structures being treated for magical damage, scorchmarks of battles littering Spellgard. And even though hit hardest from this short conflict, the population, particularly the faith of the Lady of Spells, seem extremely happy and cheerful. Celebrations occurring amongst fallen temple pieces and thankful prayers heard more often as the days pass by...
