Unexplained Deaths
« on: April 23, 2012, 06:22:53 am »
Rumors out of the Boyer Kingdom have started spreading about three families near Haper's Crossing that seemed to have been burned to death, but no one knows how or why.

With all that has happened lately, some are wondering if Layonara has been cursed by the gods.

More deaths are being counted in Boyer.  Whole villages have simply disappeared from the maps in western Boyer on what seems to be a path moving eastward towards Arm's Keep.

One such death was reported that it was not like the others.  The man, who at this point has not been identified, was found strung up on a tree.  No one seems to know why.  Down the same path, however, more bodies were found seemingly burned.  Hopes are that this man was the culprit behind the deaths, but others still fear.

Murder reports in the surrounding area of Weston and Harper's Crossing also start to pile up as people seem to be starting to execute those that they believe to be "acting funny."  Local lawmen are doing what they can to contain the situation.

In an attempt to stop death from spreading in Boyer, road blocks have been put up and local militias are attempting to quarantine the spreading curse, blocking all roads leading west to Arm's Keep and Boyer Fort as well as the roads south into Dasbar and Point Dart.  Port cities are being closed and ships are being asked to redirect from Harper's Crossing and Point Dart to other ports in safer locations.

Already hungry from the growing famines, people are beginning to grow desperate as supplies no longer can even be shipped in from other areas.

People trying to get out of what is currently thought of as the danger zone have at times found that their panicked actions are only leading them to death by the sword as the citizens of Boyer try desperately to keep the curse from venturing further.
