Muling Update/Clarification

<< < (2/2)

miltonyorkcastle:
Please note the changes to Muling in the [LORE]Player Rules[/LORE] (changes based on L's comments in this thread and others). For that matter, a quick review of all the rules may not be a bad thing if you haven't looked at them in a while.

Pen N Popper:
I find the limitation on house keys to be questionable.  As a non-materialistic player in general, I have little use of houses except as a means of physical communication (dropping off / picking up items) and portal use.  It is always my PC's goal to get access to a house in as many towns as possible for use of portals.  Is this bad?

Honestly, I feel worse for the poor newbies that struggle to get quickly around the world.  They don't know of the open houses with free portal access, they don't know that establishing ingame connections for keys is an OOC blessing when trying to meet up with a group, etc.

Is it bad to accrue house keys for the purpose of travel?  The more the better, I would think.  Call them the "RP Points of Interest."

Ya. the one in Hlint is a great help... but I don't really plan on using a whole lotta houses though...... maybe if there where more of those Stormcrest portals? minus the large fee?

I don't personally care. I don't have a house yet. :P

I am sorry you feel that way and I do understand where you are coming from. I think it is horrible that I have had to go this route but alas I have.

For those purposes, absolutely not. But I can't say you can do it and others can't...and more precisely I can't say it is okay to collect keys for this purposes and not for storage (which sadly has lead to other problems) because there is no way it can be verified and I don't want to get in yet another 'he said, she said', as those suck (we all know that).

 I agree.

 See above. Sorry.

Perhaps over time we can get more external portals put in place around the server. This will take some time though that is for sure.
