Polymorph/Shapechange/Wildshape forms and towns

We ask everyone to please use some common sense when using alternate forms, whether through spell or ability, while in and around populated areas like towns and cities.  Stop for a moment and consider how a troll or umberhulk (to pick two examples) would be seen by the general population.  They would almost universally be met with fear from the populace and hostility from those charged with public safety (i.e. guards), as they don't come with a sign that says, "I'm a PC".  This applies to most alternate forms, so we're not going to list each in an OK/not OK sort of list.  Again, use come common sense.

In a similar vein, have care with familiars, summons and animal companions, especially those that can be seen as "monstrous" to the general population while in cities, towns and populated areas.  We don't want to take away this important avenue for RP, but at the same time, we must remember that PC adventurers make up less than 1% of the total world population, and while having a Xorn in tow may not seem like a big deal to our characters, it is a big deal to Joe and Jane Commoner.

Under no circumstances may characters craft while in an alternate form.  The various forms come with attribute adjustments which can greatly alter the either the success rate and/or the XP given for success. Beyond that, there are many forms that would lack the physical ability or coordination to perform such tasks. So please keep this in mind.
