Title: Question on Champion of Vorax
Post by: ItalianDDog on November 30, 2006, 05:25:56 pm
I am currently playing Silence. Whom I love. He is a barbarian ATM.   After meeting others and him beginning to come out of his shell to only a few...  and of all the deity Vorax appeals to his nature. Currently he is neutral good... is there anyway through a CDQ to include RP from other players and journal entries etc to become a follower of Vorax (req lawful good alignment). I would have to RP/CDQ/explain the switch to lawful good and I would not plan on picking up the champion of vorax until about 15 or so.. then continue with vorax...  I say lvl 15 because as I lvl/meet others and essentially Silence himself comes out of his shell, he becomes more charasmatic..  (adding to cha from here on out with a slight mix of str) Silence would fit Vorax very well. He wields his great axe... and what I had in store for him would be great to twist him into a champion. I have been reading on Vorax and will do more.. if this is allowed. I just want to know early on that way I dont RP towards it then not be able to...   If Silence is to follow Vorax he wants to become a champion.. obviously he would choose the faith far earlier than earning the title of champion.  Currently he has no deity.

Sorry if I jumped around on this post I only had about 2 mins to write it before the computer was probably given up to my wife for the rest of the night. Thank You

If you are asking if he can be a champion of vorax as an alignment of other than LG then the answer is no. If you want to be a follower of vorax (without being a cleric, paladin, or champion) you can be any alignment as you gain no 'benefits' from vorax directly.

I was asking if I could RP towards a lawful good alignment. I am currently neutral good. I want to rp / cdq / write etc. about it. I dont think going from neutral to lawful is a big switch if other followers of Vorax helped me. I want to eventually be a champion of vorax with a lawful good alignment.   Is it possible to do such from my current position.

I am talking about down the road.. I have many a level to go and learning to go before I even start on path of Vorax or Champion of for that matter.

I hope this was more clear for you Leanthar. Thanks :D

Barbarians cannot be lawful.  You would need to also switch classes and no longer level in barbarian if you are attempting to RP an alignment shift.

Not to step on the team's toes here, but you should also be aware that becoming a Champion is not going to be easy in any case... from the PrC requirements, it's listed as one of the hardest to qualify for:
Complex (updated bio, development thread, and require several CDQs or ECDQ) Red Dragon Disciple (ECDQ only) Mistone Alliance Scout, Champions, Palemaster, Assassin
Correct. And it also means you can fail the CDQ and not be allowed to take the levels.
