*The Hilm healers and their work on the front lines*
Anamnesis:
Nodding understandingly finally truly figuring out what all her training with Lance and Daniella were all about. "Please forgive me for thinking otherwise. Miss Anna. I just thought... " She sighs clearly out of her element but she takes her cue easily from Anna as she bends down and takes a firm grasp of the other side to help her move the man. "I have much to learn." She offers honestly.
Lance Stargazer:
*Over the time passing the wounded of the front lines and the continual attacks of the dangers of Hilm making the days long and the teachings abundant.
At some point Lance returns to the tent and start to put people to work on the most recent attack, his face looks worried and his usual joyous mood absent,
He looks upon the healers and give instructions to the lieuteniants to check on the wounds of the soldiers, the wounds seem to be nasty on the worse cases, Inflicted by claw like and bite kind of marks*
Anamnesis:
Raelyn goes to work helping, evaluating the severity of wounds, with what seems to be a practiced eye now, and becoming more used to the strangeness of wounds, looking for possible signs of poison that have infected the soldiers, limbs that can not be saved, cauterizing wounds that are to far lost to save, and more importantly trying to keep moral up, taking letters that will need to be returned to family of those that will not make it.
She does what she can to help, and volunteers to help, as much as she is allowed, sometimes taking on double shifts to cover so some of the others can get a bit more rest.
She has followed the advise of Anna over the time she has been there and fallen into her role, as best she can. She doesn't question orders, but does ask questions as she is able, so she can better understand why steps may be taken over another, to learn all she can.
She offers healing prayers to those who allow her, and tries her best to be comforting and kind to those who do not, respectful of their wishes. She listens to each man and woman learning their stories of why they are here, and memorizes their faces and names.
She offers comfort but maintains a respectful distance when the families come into the tents to spend last moments with their loved ones, and bites back her own emotions for those lost that she has gotten to know while trying to help them, and makes sure to keep letters close to her until they can be delivered.
When Lance appears in the tent, she nods in recognition of him but is focused on tending the new wounds, with steadier hands and mind than before.
Lance Stargazer:
*Anna and Raelyn are really busy with the new load of wounded men that came with Lance, some members of the company of the Star and even to prestigious elite company of Lancer's that are the pride of Hilm, according to the tale of the ones that are able to speak the history has several variants, most of them are brave, but one or two wavering on morale, they speak of shadows turning alive and attacking them all of sudden, they were attacked some hours awey of the Castle toward the south on the way from Fiorez city, the Commander gave orders and due a superior tactic use they were able to pull back into a crevice and win a higher ground to make a successfull defense, they speak on how the light of Toran was there to provide help, and basically much of this is the reason they say they are alive.
*The wounds seems to be bites and claw marks, as well as with slashing marks that were able to pierce the plates that the heavy infantry and the cavalry were carrying. *
They are not much time for small chat, the tents are as busy as they can be, and as Raelyn tries to take time to speak with one to confort him, two more are already in the need of urgent healing, despite anything Anna still has her usual hurrying nature, and with a reason, after years serving there she is used to the hasty work rhytm of the tents, Allan keeps barking orders, but in time Raelyn will understand that he doesn't do it to be mean, but to keep a discipline and put things to motion, his leadership is way diferent than any one she has seen, its way too diferent than Lance's or Daniella, this one is practical and to the point, aggresive at some point, but that is the way of the military at times. Even if he looks detached, its hard not to be, after looking so many awful things that the war can bring, and Hilm has been seeing war since the fundations of the Protectorate *
Anamnesis:
Raelyn prays softly to Toran to give her continued strength of heart and mind, and gentle, but swift hands to move quickly to lesson the pain of those coming in but to make sure they are taken care of to the best of her ability.
She doesn't take Allan's techniques to heart, but rather understands the urgency and practicality of his approach and does her best to listen to Anna's advice and if she does make a mistake, she learns quickly so it is not repeated again.
She tries to keep the most urgent tended to as they come in to the tent, but does not discriminate against any one man's unit over another, but rather gives the best care she can to all of them, learning to be efficient and critical.
She keeps the tent organized and in shape when she can, clean sheets over the cots, and bandages wrapped as well as other supplies put within reach of each alcove they work within. Working with Anna to keep things running as smoothly as possible.
