The Winner shall have a song written for them by Andrew Reid himself! [/b]

And maybe some coin, if the winner is kind of skint. Who knows. And there might be a runner-up. I'm making this up as I go along. Work with me.[/b]

//Details

-All information will be taken from LORE or will be publicly available knowledge regarding prior quest series. There will be no esoterica nor anything that would only be known to a few.

-Open to all players and GMs.

-Intelligence is not a factor, nor is wisdom. Anyone who travels Layonara could have picked up tidbits and tidings, so this is a level playing field based on player knowledge.

-There will be a time limit to prevent flash searches of the website for answers.

-There will be hints, however, as needed.

-Andrew will be Master of Trvialities, doing his best Stephen Fry impersonation that he doesn't know he knows how to do yet. Tori, if present, will be running security but otherwise is invited to yell out anything she knows amd therefore to participate while working. Everyone else is a guest or participant, depending on their preference.

-Booze is free that night. (FREE BOOZE, DWARVES!)

Helly is topping off the drinks, Michael and Mel and Ed dust and polish. Two children plump cushions while Paddy hides things for his youngest to find, a game that has left a rather interesting number of odd items stashed in odd places around the Buckle. A few patrons hold a test quiz, but the proprietor is not there to join in. He is locked in his office, quill and scroll in hand and stacks of books on his desk.

A page is flipped.

Another.

Another.

Two fuzzy black eyebrows raise and to the observer it's as if they hold the corners of his mouth on strings. The quill stabs inky black liquid and is pressed to parchment.

"Who was the last person on Layonara to hold the title 'Peractio'? Bah, too easy. Let's see...'What is a Foster and where might you find one?' Perhaps...still too easy..." The crackle of aged paper and a man shifting in his seat competes with a guttering candle for many long breaths until..."Aha..." and once again the quill moves.

//Just to give you a hint on what kinds of things I'll be digging up from LORE for tomorrow's event!

Thank you to Iri, Katelyn, Elly, Tori, Samantha, Jetta, and Rasa for joining in the Lore Contest. And congratulations to our winners, Protector Samantha Merritt and Tori (although the Protector declined to have an Ilsarian bard write a song for her - pout). It was a good time and I hope to do another in the future.
