Dire bear is one of the more versatile materials that tailors seek out. As well as armors, dire bear can be used for belts, boots, and gloves.
Every once is a while, fine quality dire bear can be found, that (with a good measure of luck) a tailor can craft into gloves surpassing the ordinary. I have just returned from stitching such a pair of gloves. The leather on the outside is tanned to give optimal grip on weapons and such, and on the inside is supple and comfortable. I hope that someone will buy them who can put them to good use.
