A note is tacked up anonymously on a number of student boards around the tower, clearly intended for all eyes to read.  It states:
Quote
Would the judges please care to explain how they managed to hand the top prize to the single entry that was ineligible to receive it? It clearly was completed after the deadline passed, and therefore was too late to receive consideration.

This obvious and arbitrary violation of its own set rules is an embarrassment to the Academy, and combined with the hidden nature of the judging, smells strongly of favoritism.     Selection for this contest should be made among those who actually adhered to the stated rules.

If the judges for the Academy wish to employ Mr Mossfield to design other stationary, including the use of his seal, that is within their right.   But it should have no part of this contest.

I have to agree, rules are rules in such matters. Is there a Magical Towers of Layonara Ombudsman I can go? Next time could the Tower provide a nice list of the folk for whom the rules dont apply and I can withdraw my submission when one submits.

How about a compensation payment settled out of the Rofie courts for all the losing artistes who must be thoroughly ed (as there aren't too many of us). I'm still up for that addy full plate, send me  bird.

Isherwood Smithson ( one of the ed)

First of all, I would like to express that there was no favoritism in the judging of the seal chosen.

The decision to include the seal entry that was chosen was based on voting between the school faculty. As this competition was sponsored by funds from my own contribution and no others. Not even my own vote counted.

BUt it was decided that since the creator of the winning seal had spent so much time on the seal that it should be considered, this request was made by Jaelle Thornwood and weighed as a valid request, and was agreed to.

I am sorry if any feel this was a biased decision as it was not and if it needed I will provide the votes that were given, I have tried to stand behind the honesty and integrity of the Tower Academy and will not have it called into question that I am running a biased institution.

Secondly the prize money out of my own pocket has already been given to Mr Mossfield. If those calling this competition and biased and the decision as arbitrary, wish to discuss this with me personally, instead of behind the veil of postings to question my intergrity. I would be happy to discuss this.

The runner up for votes would have been Miss Darthirae. And if she wishes to persue this matter it is solely her right to do so, and I will be happy to meet with her to discuss this.

//ooc on another note if you have questions feel free to send me a PM, I had originally been on a firm stance that if the applicants couldn't meet the deadline then they should not be considered.

It was discussed however and determined that the seal although late should still be considered. This will not be a mistake made again. I will stand behind my original decision. Regardless of who likes it.
