In reference to your stated laws of no weapons armed within the city limits, I was hoping for a clarification on a small matter. As I am sure you have noticed that the weather has been quite wet of late, I was wondering how your office views the matter of umbrellas. I know some of them have special enchanments upon them, for instance, the protection of a lightening bolt from the sky electrifying you, if your office deems them as such, a weapon. The rains do ruin peoples clothing and hair styles, and goods purchased from the merchants carried to ones home. I have not yet used one for fear of an over-zealous guard attacking me looking upon my umbrella as a weapon. Whatever your decision, of course, will be abided by. I Thank you for your time.
