Please make sure you are not being followed into the town by armed creatures.
Please wait until the townsfolk can close the gates before continuing on your way: This will help prevent invaders slipping into Hlint behind the unawares.
Orcs, Goblins, Drow, Giants - all races with sigificant enemy allied numbers. You will be unharmed if you keep your weapons undeployed. In the event of armed invaders inside the town walls you should be allowed, and would be expected, to defend Hlint. Please ensure weapons are put away after any trouble is dealt with so that the townsfolk can be certain you pose no threat.
ALL armed creatures that are not human, halfling, elf, dwarf, will have one chance to shoulder their arms. If they refuse they will considered to be hostile.
