Cave near Rodez
« on: April 18, 2006, 09:24:03 am »
Notice to all travellers in the Kingdom of Roldem

Many will know of the cave near Rodez, famous for unusual chests.

It is with all seriousness that I request, for the time being, no-one attempt to explore this cave under ANY circumstances.

Events are in motion that affect the lives of many here on Layonara, and the Planes beyond. Unauthorised expeditions into these caves puts these lives at very great risk. I assure you I do not make this request lightly. Recent journeys there may haved already caused great suffering and death.
I beg of you all. DO NOT VENTURE THERE!
A further notice will be posted when the situation is resolved

*A lady sits and reads a letter, smiling as she does then pondering to herself*
It is good to know that there are some who would stand against the greed that threatens us all.

*Addison eyes the new notice*

"Guarded?  Ha!  All of Toran's paladins can't keep me from my destiny.  Perhaps I shall fight them
as well...  I hope they are well prepared."

"But on the other hand, I do not wish any harm to Ireth's daughter, Aranna, the planar guardian
of Celestia...  she is being held captive and any attempt to access the portal to Pandemonium in
the tunnel beneath Rodez will result in her death or torture.  I will not be responsible for what
happens to her."

"I made a promise to Mith and AnnaLee and will keep it... but I will find Kora.  Maybe not in that
tunnel... but I will find her."

*She pens a small note below the threats*

If you attempt to access the tunnel, you may be a direct contributor to the death of Arrana, the
planar guardian of Celestia.  Please stay out until these issues are resolved.

*scratches his head*

Wasn't one of the Toranites, maybe ex-Toranite, responsible for opening the portal in the first place. In addition, how many Paladins of Toran have lost their Paladinhood? Aren't Toranite's just drinkers and sex fiends? Wow, all of a sudden, I feel that the cave is well protected.

Edit: Get a good drink and a woman and the guard will just wander off.

*Anonymous* "It's taken care of I presume?"

*Michaelis* *he nods* I said the cave was gaurded.  That's all that needs to be said.  If any pass, they will be caught. If they're caught they'll be prosecuted. I never said who gaurded it. Only one knows. I will ask her to keep quiet.

*Anonymous* There are those foolish and arrogant enough to try there luck.  *he sighs*

*Michaelis* Given the state of importance he will not let anyone pass.  I've already received numerous notes warning of some of these people.  I know who they are.  If they do succeed, they'll be caught..easily. If they bring the downfall of Celestia, the court will judge them accordingly.

*Anonymous* We have a reputation to uphold.  Come..there are some issues we need to discuss.

*They walk off toward the temple*

*Q reads the note and his face turn from unease to just plain mad*

If you have a problem with what happened you take it up with me Quantum.  Dont blame Toran.  You need to stop being so narrow minded and belive every rumor you hear.  If you want to know what happened talk to ME!

*truns around and looks calm again and smiles*

* Maev reads the notes, begins clenching and unclenching her fist on her sword hilt, otherwise her experession is blank*

This has nothing to do with either Toran or Toranites. You judge us all on the inability of a few to with stand the temptations of the world.  The Great Leader requires much of his warriors and not all of us are cut out to pass his tests.   Your disgusting suggestions about those who have been called to the path are the ramblings of a small mind.  Next time I suggest you stop and think lest you choke to death on your foot.

*with that she spins and walks briskly out, her hand wrapped tightly around her sword hilt, her knuckles white*

*chuckles*

Then keep your brothers and sisters in line! Then all wouldn't get a bad name. And...umm...I speak from what I have seen, how is that "suggestions"?

You have a lot to learn! Seek me out for some education. *shakes his head and mutters sarcastically* Toranites.

You want a true Toranite and a standard to set for yourself? See Sir Riley Alexander! He is what I would expect from The All Watching!

*Ireth stops and reads the words about Toran's Paladins and sighing pens a quick note*
Are we to judge all of Toran's Paladins on the actions of a few? I know many of his Paladin's who are up standing examples of his way and yes Sir Riley is one of them, but he is NOT alone.
I urge you to respect what they do here for we have been told if people continue to go in that cave my daguhter will die. Do your truly think if all Toranites were as bad as some think they would be guarding the cave to save my daughter, me of all people?

insanity is the answer to everything love. Asking the the toranites to watchs the Pendemonium are like asking the sheep to watch over the wolfs.

//I did give the the Paladin there true seeing so if you are walking past him you are taking advantage of game mechanics and a dm not being present to control him. Much like the great temple defiling debate.
