So, I've searched the forums. I've pored over the NWN wikis. I've tried finding a good use for Summon Monster IV as a Good-aligned arcane spellcaster.

So far, I haven't come up with much apart from Pankoki (back in '06) claiming that it's "the best summon for Mistone"... And not a whole lot of substantiation for that claim.

Can ANYONE give me the real skinny on what the Lantern Archon is good for? The AI always seems to throw it into melee combat... Or, if it avoids melee, occasionally throw its Lightning Bolt (with low DC and CL5).

I have yet to see it throw the magic missiles that NWNWiki claims it has.

Tryit alongside with ligntning spells..

The Archon is inmune to Ligthning ( very high DR to lightning )  so can "tank" you as you fry your enemies with lightnings.

And I think the Lantern Archon (at least of some spell casting tier), casts spells like Lightning Bolt etc.

If a foe goes next to it, it foregoes the casting of spells and tries to hit them to no avail.
