Renting a room off your own PC

I imagine this is a tricky one, but is it possible for one of your PCs to rent a room off your other house-owning PC (for a fair exchange of coin or goods)? Is that possible? Is it considered too difficult to manage?

This along with other forms of two characters of one player having keys to the same residence or one player having two characters in the same guild have been frowned upon in the past, the main reason being the potential for abuse through muling of items and coin.

As minerva already said the problem is that there are chests around in the house which would be accessable by both your characters so there could be some muling of items going on (not saying there will be). But the past proved there has been more than once.
