Something peculiar

I have noticed, for a couple of time now, that when ever I use shadow evade, my bark skin seems to disappear. Could someone confirm if it is intended?

Do you mean that the ac bonus dissapears, or just the vfx? They're two very different things..

I would have to check, but while i was fighting i noticed the vfx went away and I was now getting hit a lot more than before using shadow evade.
