A half silly-half serious request

You know that pirate camp in windjammers bay? Can Frak kill the pirates ands take it over for his own little house? And put crates and stuff there? For his storage and shiz?

What would stop his stuff from being stolen by bandits while he is not there?

Often the in-game representation is just that, a representation.

Maybe what you see on your screen is the edge of a vast bay with half a dozen pirate ships at anchor. The camp which you just attacked has reinforcements flocking that way. Same with umpteen other places on server. The Red Light goblin caves are the upper levels of a vast network. The Haven mines go deeper than any adventurer has ever been.

It makes sense of respawns.

Oh fine...

I just thought it would be fun to have a beach camp and somewhere to store stuff and live.

I need to find somewhere else then! TALLY HO!

For me, if it is RP out correctly and Frak takes the appropriate actions through a some CDQs say, it might be possible...it might not.

The first thing is to take action and try but don't expect it anything to happen overnight or if at all. ;-)

Even if he does, he's still going to come back and find all his stuff stolen, "magical wards, hidden trickery, and sneaky places" not withstanding.

This is why people live in towers and castles and walled cities!

@ScriptWrecked: I was referring to just talking about taking over that part of windjammer. In regards to your comment thats completely plausible too.

I think it is safe to say that even without the valid points raised by Script Wrecked and Pseudonym, barring an extraordinary reason, we're not going to remove a low-level encounter region to replace it with player housing.

It would be like a necromancer "clearing out" part of the Vehl crypts to live in.  Just not tenable from a server perspective, let alone an RP one.

Well thanks anyway, I'll just have to save up for a proper house and then put some tents and a pool inside eh? ;)

As a player who HAS done something similar, let me say this: My CDQ to take over a certain bandit hideout some where most people have walked by was done in order to station a guild there.  It was very cleary put to me that the location was NOT becoming player housing (meaning it was just a house for characters with no other purpose).

To just take over something is also not easy.  While the location was respresented as just a place with a half dozen level 5 bandits in it that my at the time level 17 fgt/wm/rogue could wade through, the CDQ to commandeer it involved Undead creatures tougher enough to trouble some epic Paladins.  It also involved politics, corruption, under handed deals and losing any respect a World Leader Character had for mine.  And lots of behind the keyboard hair pulling.

That's not to say not to try something if you have a broader goal in mind then a place to put your PC to sleep in.  There are a number of locals that are only there because someone put in time and effort to create them.  Try and find some.  :)

Oh, and if you DO have a goal in mind, run it by me/the community.  We could provide some feed back on it if you'd like.

Or you could stay at the Leringard Arms. ;)

Steel would be happy to show you around the renovated rooms and discuss pricing.
