Point Harbor is the most prosperous harbor of Rilara, and most of the continent’s trade passes through here. Since the Forsaken Islands are so deadly that even passing by them is rumored to turn a whole crew into ghasts, goods headed east from Mistone usually come through Point Harbor. Either they re-supply and travel the dangerous north coast of Rilara or they travel overland to Karthy. Neither trek is desirable and it is not uncommon for Point Harbor to be the settled upon destination of many supposedly Dregar-bound captains.
To protect its wealth, it is heavily fortified, both from the land as well as from the sea, making it a difficult city to capture. Its main trading partner is the city of Port Hampshire on Mistone, but passage to many of the great ports of Layonara can be booked on ships docking in Point Harbor. Boats from Point Harbor are likely the only ones you’ll see on the books at any port outside of Rilara, excepting Xantril. The reason for this is simple. Being on the northwest corner of the vast continent of Rilara, Point Harbor is as far from Milara’s seat as possible. This doesn’t mean Milara overlooks it or cannot reach it, rather that his grasp there is less firm. Because of this, Point Harbor is one of the few ports on the island of Rilara that conducts business not entirely in the interests of Milara.
