    HELP!!! PLEASE

    hello there fellow smithy's,

i have a question about adorning gold on an armor.  in the basic armor book, it said that if you adorn gold on armor, it will give better ac.  has anyone been able to do this yet?  i was looking at hlint's smith shop and there is no option to adorn gold onto the armor.  if someone has successfully done this, please steer me towards the right direction.  thank you for your guidance.

If I remember correctly , adorned armor is the next step after mastering working with mithril.
(edit) this is info from another PW, as I'm just getting ready to start up here.

The basic armor book in-game? If so, then you've got an old one.

        It's still a good idea, though. :)

Adorning armors with silver or gold is a very cool thought, even if i'm not sure about what bonuses would that bring... Charisma, perhaps? :)

Maybe, but definitely not AC I think. They're soft metals.

Yes... but, you use the gold to hold the power of the magical enchantment you place on the armor... *shifty eyes*  -TV

I like the Charisma bonus myself.  Gold, silver, or platinum added to an armor seems to me to be more ornamental than anything else.  Like ceremonial armor or something like that.

Yea, Charisma sounds good, but an AC bonus wouldn't make sense.  The metals are mostly soft and there isn't that much of them.
