My trainings are going well. I have found the perfect weapon for me. The dire mace suits me perfectly and I am becoming more and more fond of it.
I am in desperate need of a better armor. I'm saving money so I can get rid of this leather armor and get myself a Half Plate armor or something alike. I have been running some errands for the people of Hlint and also a mage from Fort Llast, trying to make the coins I need to improve my equipment, but it's been tough.
I have also joined a group of adventurers into an ogres cave. It was quite an adventure, although I was more of an observer than a fighter in there. I was too weak to fight the ogres on the frontline, so I stuck to my darts instead of the dire mace.

Another day I joined a couple of friends to help one of them slaying some goblin leader. We had a little bit of trouble fighting the goblins at first, but once we settled some strategies, our battles went smoothly.

Finally! Today I got the money to buy a Full Plate armor. It sure feels a lot different from my Chain Mail, much better of course, but also much heavier.
I also talked to a Ragrian bard. Seems that she left her grand grandmother's necklace in a cave inside the Sielwood. I want to help her, but I can't go alone, not yet. I'll try to find good company to join me on this quest.

There! The necklace has been returned to its owner. I had to count with the help of two brave adventurers to reach the necklace in the cave's depths. We found some kobolds, bugbears and, if my memory serves me right,  goblins. My new armor prooved itself very useful, especially when working together with my dire mace.

I'm still to find a way to reach the Greypeak mountains. A woman in Fort Llast has lost her horse there and the horse were carrying an important item for her. I haven't done anything about yet because I was told these mountains are really dangerous, so I should better gather a large group before I go there.

Today I joined a big group to explore northern Mistone. Later on, we decided to go to Rilara, so we took the path to Port Hampshire. Along the way, we ran into some ogres, among other beasts, a great way to test my rising skills with the dire mace. The results from my specialization with this weapon never stop impressing me. Right after going throught Fort Hope, we were ambushed by some nasty griffons. Only a friend and I survived, but only because the griffons thought we were dead and moved out. That's when the strangest thing happened: the whole group appeared around us, very much alive! That's when we met this strange fellow who was standing in front of us. Seems that he summoned my friends by mistake, as he was trying to summon some undeads. He offered us a reward if we managed to bring back a box that had fallen in the hands of bugbears. We agreed and I, with not a single sense of direction, have no idea of where we found them, but with a cougar's help, we found those bugbears. We got the box, and that's when it hit us: could the box's content be of some evil nature? After all, the guy was summoning some undead forces, wasn't he?
We decided to go back and talk to him. After a lot of talk and after each one of us vote, we decided to give him the box. I sweared not to reveal its content, but we made sure it wasn't going to bring any harm to anyone.

I have to keep it up. My recent experience on the planes has shown me that my skills with the dire mace are yet far from perfection. I joined a group that went after Koralawyn on the planes, and that was not such a good experience for me. I was force to stick to my darts all the time. When I succumbed to the urge of using my dire mace (a very immature act, by the way) I fell. And that is all I would like to write about what happened there, so terrible were the things I saw in this unfortunate (for me only) adventure.

This experience has opened my eyes a little more. I will continue to improve my dire mace skills, so that someday I can reach perfection.

In need to raise my morale, some adventurers and I agreed to escort Sa'kura to the Sielwoods' cave, where she wanted to get some copper. We fought spiders, ettercaps and an eyeball on our way through the Sielwoods. The cave was home to bugbears and kobolds, if I'm right, but mainly kobolds. We stood there protecting Sa'kura while she worked on taking copper out of those rocks. On the way out, more spiders, ettercaps and an eyeball, along with more adventurers to join us.
One of those adventurers I met was Kyle Pandorn, who was also in the planes. I had a little chat with him, seems he crafts some fine weapons. Maybe, in the future, I can have him make me an iron dire mace? Well, maybe I'm just dreaming, I don't think I'm skilled enough to handle such a powerful weapon... Not yet...

With not much to do, today I was wandering between Hlint and Fort Llast when I decided to visit the Blackford Castle. Had seen it a couple of times on my way to Leilon and back from it, but had never entered it before. What called my attention the most in there was a portal. I stood in front of it a few minutes, wondering if I should go into it or not... It was inside the castle's library and I thought it couldn't be anything dangerous. The boredom of this day pushed me into it. After a short blur on my mind, I found myself in a place I've never been before. A banner a few meters away showed me I was in Voltrex. Part of me told me to go back through the portal while I was still in one piece. The other part told me to see what was behind the door between the two statues in front of me. As soon as I entered the place, I realized that it was the famous Great Library. Having satisfied part of my curiosity, I decided to return to Mistone and reflect about this little trip later.
Back in Mistone, I decided to go to Fort Llast and fill my canteen and then head back to Hlint. I started to think something big was happening when I got to Hlint and still I found none of my adventurer friends. On the eastern part of Hlint, I met Treana. We had a little chat which led me to believe that this quietude was but a coinscidence, although I don't really believe in coinscidences. After that, I left Hlint heading East searching for some dire mace training. As I walked by a halfling camp, I was attacked and those mercenaries ended up being the training I was looking for. I then headed North, where I found a small group of kobolds who attacked me and had the same end as the halfling mercenaries. I felt bad for those kobolds, though... Maybe they were just defending themselves because I got too close. As this and other thoughts echoed in my mind, I returned to Hlint and spent the night at the Inn.

After talking to a few people who craft weapons and stuff, I realized I didn't want to have my weapon made for me. I wanted to make my own, so this way I could come the closest possible to perfection. I knew I was about to crack my head though, specially if I was someday to enchant my weapon. But I would have to deal with that, maybe learn some arcane magic... Who knows... So, I bought some books and started reading them.
I've talked to my friend Enragot Rilam. We are going to start crafting stuff. I is good to have someone to help you in this.
While chopping down hickory trees with Enragot, North of Hlint, we were attacked by orcs several times, but they were no match to me and my dire mace.
All I need now is a certificate. Need to start saving coins!
Later on, I joined Treana while she moved to Leilon, I was just interested in some adventure as there was not much I could do without that certificate. I still needed 750 gold pieces, I was really broke. on top of that, I owe some gold to Enragot... That little trip to the planes cost me a lot.
I left Treana in the Leilon's Docks. From there, I started my way back, stopping by Lake Palden to explore a little. There, I was attacked by a couple of wolves, nothing big. Passing by the Goblin Wastelands, I got myself into a fight with them. Took 50 gold pieces from those ...ed goblins, although I don't feel well saying this.
When I got to Hlint, I found my friend Cedric in a bad shape. He told me some strange things about the Broken Forest. I had been there only once, a terrible experience.

A friend of mine told me Johan, in Hlint, was looking for someone to do a job for him. I went to see him and he asked me to gather some pelts for him. I really don't like killing animals just for their skin, but I do need the money now and being attacked by them makes the job much easier for me.
I started with the rats in the sewers. Not much of a problem...
Later on, I joined a group to help Elladan Peters reach his grave. Seems that he was killed by a vine from the Broken Forest. He told us these vines were sneaky, fast and powerful. He fell not in the Broken Forest, though, but in the Lost Ruins. The vine followed him and attacked him while he was fighting some ogres.
I fell to werewolves in the Lost Ruins. I don't know what happened to me that made me attack them although I knew I was sure to fall. Elladan fell aswell. The werewolves and the vine were killed by the rest of the group, which stood by our corpses until Plenarius, a powerful cleric as far as I know, arrived. We were then raised by Plenarius and after that, I started my way back to Hlint.

Today, I went into the goblin cave. I was after some bat pelt for Johan. A few minutes after I got in the cave, I was leaving it with a bat skin. Johan then asked me for badger pelt, which I was luckily carrying from a prior fight in the Goblin Wastelands.
I couldn't go hunt boars by my own, so I decided to have a walk and maybe practice my dire mace skills. After a while, I got to the Haven Castle's outskirts. In the castle, I met Lord Rodor. Seems that the ogres in the mines have been troubling him. I feel sorry that I can do nothing to help him... At least for now, by my own. Maybe if I could gather a large group... I'm not skilled enough to fight ogres alone for now.

I got a crafting certificate today. I got to the bank to withdraw some hickory branches I had stored there and went to the public craft house. There, I made some hickory saw dust. Then, went to look for the ingredients needed to make a hickory sandpaper, which was needed to make a hickory shaft. With the shaft, I intended to make my first dire mace. I was looking for gum arabics, which I remember to have seen Northeast to Hlint, I think. I found a couple of gum arabic trees with some kenku fellows around it who attacked me at sight. One of them was carrying a Dorand's Helper ring! That should help me with my crafting... He was also carrying a strange green stone which I haven't been able to identify yet. Moving west from there, I ran into a griffon. I think trying to fight him alone would be a bad idea, specially because of the crafting materials' extra weight.
The stone I found in the kenku's corpse was a greenstone. I tried to cut it, but that didn't end very well. I feel terrible, now all I got is a whole bunch of greenstone dust. Wonder what I can do with that now...

I talked to Kyle Pandorn today. He made me a great offer: a bronze dire mace for 750 gold pieces. Unfortunatelly, that's something I can't afford at the moment. I'm almost making it though.
I've talked to my friend Enragot. He asked me for some assistance in Krandor That's where we're headed. Enragot and I got into a fight with some mercenaries on our way to Fort Llast, where we died and returned to Hlint. Weakened by my recent death, I stored some stuff on my recently bought ox until I got back to normal. Things should get better after I get my bronze dire mace.
I have finally got the coins to buy a bronze dire mace. I'm looking forward to meeting Kyle once more.
I found him by the craft house in Hlint, where I also got the chance to meet his lovely wife, Ferrit. I'm so glad I have a new weapon, a fine bronze dire mace!
After that, I started once more my desperate trying to make a sandpaper. So, I came back to the Inn's kitchen, where I managed to make a couple of raw parchments, but that was the best I got. Then, my ox and I went for some lumber harvesting North of Hlint. There, I was once more attacked by orcs and I got to test the power of a bronze weapon. Impressive! I'm very satisfied with the results. I must, of course, continue my training so that I can reach the best performance possible.

Note: Keep better detailed reports to myself. This way, it will be easier to find and eliminate my flaws in every aspects of my adventuring, fighting or whatever.

Lately, I have dedicated almost all my time to crafting. I feel really guilty about slowing down my dire mace trainings, but I think it's for the best. In time, I'll reach perfection both in my dire mace and my crafting skills.
While trying to make more sandpapers in the kitchen, I met Sabel and Taeghen Silverthorne, the first one kindly offered me some healing (I had been fighting some orcs before that). After making a couple of sandpapers, I went outside, by the bindstone. There, I sat down and meditated for a while about my trainings. Where do I need more practice? Well, in a lot of areas. What was I doing wrong? Nothing specifically, maybe, but not perfect yet. Should I try new methods? Should I be boulder in my fighting? Maybe if I met someone who masters the dire mace... But they are so rare, I've never heard of one, actually. Such a fine weapon, endless possibilities, their number raises each time I fight. I dream with the day that I'll become one with my weapon. Powerful and versatile will be my dire mace and I. One special weapon we will become.
After some more crafting practice, I decided to retake the things I was asked to do. I had a package to be delivered in a farm near the Thalos River. So, I went to Leilon and from there, I went to Port Hampshire by boat and then to Point Harbor. I almost got lost on my way from Point Harbor to Fort Himlad when I got into a fight with a griffon on the plains nearby the fort. It followed me to the fort, where we had a terrible battle, from which I prevailed, but badly wounded. May this be a lesson for when I walk by myself in open areas: be stealthy! Specially in unknown areas.
Johan Borden, from Fort Himlad, asked me to search for his missing cow, Elsie. I couldn't say no, of course, I started my adventuring to help people. I started searching, as Johan advised, West of Fort Himlad. There, I found another griffon, which I took down with the help of a ranger from the Wolfswood Forest. The surprise came when I was looting the griffon's corpse: I found Elsie's collar. It was up to me to give Johan the bad news. I gave him the collar and he was still kind enough to give me 250 gold pieces despite of his loss. He didn't allow me to refuse the reward.
After that, I started my way back. That was when I would search for the farm where I had to deliver the package.
I have found a good place to rest in Dinen Forest. I guess I should rest for now, I can't seem to find this farm.

I am really proud that I have recently made a couple of hickory shafts. They have no use for me anymore though, since I bought the bronze dire mace from Kyle. That's why I sold one of them to Enragot, because he's a monk... Maybe he can make use of it as a quarterstaff.
I have also been to Hlint's crypts. There, I trained, imoroving my dire mace skills and diminishing the undead population at the same time. Maybe going so deep into the crypts wasn't such a good idea. I was badly wounded during a fight with a ghoul and some zombies. Luckily, everything turned out fine. Strangely, I found a set of carpenter's tools on the ghoul's corpse and an amount of gold that anyone would be surprised. I rested a little and got on with my expedition. On the next room, another bunch of zombies and a ghoul. This time, I handled the situation more carefully, exploiting the slow movement of the zombies to take them out one by one, which made the whole thing much easier.
From there, I started my way back to the surface. When I reached the last room on my way out, I was ambushed by a bunch of skeletons, which I handled nicelly after the scare. Then, I met Korvlok and Aeronn Kirath. A couple of nice fellows trying to get the essence from the crypts. Deep into the crypts, I learned those were well skilled paladins, one of them a half-giant. Those ghouls, as well as the Darksoul, were easily handled.
Back to the surface, I went to the Inn. I was really tired and needed some rest and a nice meal. After waking up, I ran into Enragot. We decided to go to Fort Hope, where I had to deliver a package. We went through the Broken Forest, stealthy at all times until we got to Fort Hope, where I delivered tha package safely.
After that, we took the same path back to Krandor, where I got another package. This one was to be delivered in Fort Velensk. That's where we headed. We went back to Fort Llast and, from there, to Leilon. By boat, we went from Leilon to Port Hampshire, then Fort Velensk. The package was delivered. As we were getting ready to depart to Point Harbor, I sighted a strange building. We got in and found out to be an arena. After having a quick look at it, we left. After taking the necessary ships, we got to Leilon, from where we went to Hlint.
After a nice rest, I went back to Krandor, by myself this time. There, I got another package, this one to be delivered in Port Hampshire, so I went to Leilon. From Leilon, I went to Port Hampshire once more, where, after a lot of searching, I found Mo and delivered him his package. From there, back to Krandor. I started feeling very bored with these jobs. I'm not a postman, I'm a fighter! Maybe I should just be patient.
Well, this is it... Packagemaster Freya told me she had no more packages for me to deliver. Every job I have on my to-do list requires extra muscle now. I shall go back to Hlint and seek for that muscle.
I didn't find an extra muscle, but I did get some information about where I could find boars. I still needed one's skin for Johan. So, I started my trip to the High Forest. I ran into three friends by Lake Palden. After chatting a while, Ferrit Pandorn, Kyle's wife, offered help with the boars. And I learned that those in Sielwood were easier to take down, so that's where we went.
We found no ogres at first. We got a couple of boar skins and were attacked by some veggie people, weird people... On our way back, we were attacked by three or four ogres, the last one of them knocking me down. I was bleeding to death, but Ferrit finished the ogre off before I died, and everything turned out fine. We ran into Kyle in the Goblin Wastelands and then we took different paths. I gave Johan the boar skin and a deer skin after that. A cougar skin was his next request.

Enragot and I went for some copper mining today inside the Sielwood's cave. I haven't started smelting anything yet. Unfortunatelly, my miners pick broke right after I started mining. Enragot's ox got killed by those ...ed kobolds right after that... On our way back, ettercaps, spiders and an eyeball almost became a problem as I was quite injured when I left the cave. Back to Hlint, I went straight to the public smith house. There, I managed to smelt a copper nugget into a copper ingot.
Later on, Enragot and I started exploring North from Hlint's outskirts. We ran into Mercas on our way, who joined us for a short period of time. Enragot and I managed to get through some nasty griffons, then we reached the High Forest. It was quite an adventure, challenging foes, those spiders and dire boars. I was very happy to find oak trees there, as I had found only hickory trees before that. After clearing the area, I grabbed my axe and knocked myself out, leaving there with tons of oak wood.
We then returned to Hlint, where I started working on my recently cut oak. It is very different from hickory, for sure. It will take a while until I can make a shaft from oak. I made a whole bunch of oak dust, so I could get started on the oak sandpapers. From the craft house, I went to the kitchen, where I actually did much better than I had thought. I managed to make one sandpaper, which made me very proud.
Later on, I found out the paladins I met in the crypts yesterday were planning to go up the Greypeak mountains. A cleric and a half-giant also joined us. The cleric, whose name I feel terrible to have forgotten,  was very skilled and powerful. He would've been of great help if he could have stuck with us longer. He had to leave and wasn't able to finish the expedition. We handled some ogres pretty well, until a battle where they outnumbered us. It was a slaughter, none of us survived. I'm now in Point Harbor and I'll try to rest a little before going to Port Hampshire and then Leilon.

It's been a while since my last report, so I'm just going to state the most important things from then until now.
I got my ox and went to the goblins' cave. I gathered some salt, mineral greenstones and bat skins. After that, I went to the craft house, where I cut my greenstones and would later cure the bats' skins. I didn't make any bat leather... My tanning oil ended before I could get it right.
I went North from Hlint to gather some hickory wood and practice some wood crafting. I broke my axe again! Something always happens to bother me when I'm gathering resources...
Later on, I went down the goblins' cave to get more copper nuggets. There, I met Thorkain, a friendly dwarf who was looking for gems in there. I got a lot of copper from that cave, I am really satisfied with the results. Fifteen nuggets total. Hope I can make fifteen ingots out of them!
Six! I made six ingots from those nuggets... I would say it is a good result for an amateur such as I. I then bought some tanning oil and tried, without success, to make bat leather out of the cured bat skin I had. After that, I went with my recently bought axe to gather some hickory. No problems gathering wood this time (it was about time).
I went South from Haven and found some nasty goblins. They were far more powerful than those nearby Hlint. I almost got myself killed, and I was lucky I didn't find any of the spider ridders. I started my way back after chatting with Kyle Pandorn in Haven.
North from there, I stopped to gather some resources such as clay and sand. After that, I went to the craft house, where I polished greenstones and crafted a small mold. Then, I went to the Inn's kitchen and crafted a couple more hickory sandpapers.
It's funny this path I'm taking in crafting. I started wanting to make myself mainly a dire mace, a perfect one, but then I became interested in a lot other aspects of crafting! It's a good thing, I believe.

Today, I met Shamur in the road to Fort Llast... Enragot was there too and Shamur was going to head to the Greypeak mountains. I remembered that Juanita had once asked me to get some precious oil she left in the mountains, so I joined the group. We Were short on people though, that's why we went to Hlint first, to recruit more adventurers and increase our possibility of success.
We managed to recruit a few people, forming a party of eight. We had a few casualties and we didn't reach our goal. By the way, I was one of the casualties.
A few days later, I met Enragot, Sallaron and Robert Hearth by the campfire on Goblin's Wastelands. Both Enragot and I were looking for cougars, so we all went to look for them. We went to the Broken Forest, past Fort Hope and reached Port Hampshire's outskirts, but no cougars were seen. We got into real trouble as we were ambushed by a bunch of ants... Sallaron got really injured and was poisoned by them. As soon as we finished them off, we headed to Velensk so we could rest and then look for the cougars. Robert and I spent some time talking and drinking, seems like he has a tough past.
We swinged by the arena and then went to look for the cougars. On Velensk's outskirts, we found some harpies who almost had me. After that, we found cougars.
I got a couple of skins and we headed to Fort Hope. There, Robert and I split ways, I stopped by the Inn to rest and he went back to Hlint.

I woke up and left Fort Hope right away. It took a while to get to Hlint as I was carrying two cougar skins... They are heavier than I thought! Arriving in Hlint, I gave Johan one of the skins and stored the other one at the bank. Johan then asked me two brown bear skins. I already had one, now I have to go to the High FOrest and fetch him another one.
I tried to cure a few skins but I was not successful. Ferrit Pandorn was in the craft house, so I offered her the skins I had left, which were of no use to me because of my poor tailoring skills. She accepted the offer and gave me a desert flower. It is very interesting, glowy and it has healing powers according to Ferrit.

This day was a busy one. I spent some time working on my crafting. Then, I went back to Velensk to meet Enragot and we went back together to Hlint. By the way, we had a little trouble with those ants once more. We spent some time in Hlint preparing to go to the High Forest, as we wanted to go after the brown bears Johan had asked for.
I had never seen the spiders from the High Forest. That's why I had been there and had not been killed there yet. Enragot and I didn't last long once those spiders found us. Our oxen fell right after us... A big mistake to have brought them with us into the forest.
I looked for help as soon as I got to Hlint. Luckly, a good number of people promptly offered help. Enragot and I got ourselves new oxen and we left with the party.
We arrived at the High Forest (I tied my ox by Lake Palden this time) and I prayed at my grave. I instantly began to feel better, but a large number of spiders appeared at the same moment. With such a fine party, I didn't fall this time, but neither did I find my dead ox's pack. I was very angry about it as it contained most of my crafting products and tools. But anyway, at least I learned something from all this: never take your ox to battle (seems quite obvious, though)!
I've been forgetting to update my reports lately...
Recently, I've made a little tour into the Haven mines and worked on my crafting.
When I was gathering some hickory at the florest North from Hlint, I met Nex Wintergaard. He wanted me to go with him to get oak, I believe he didn't have any skills with an axe. In return, I asked him to help me with the bear pelts I still needed to get.
We were successful. We got a lot of oak and I got myself a couple of bear pelts. We returned to Hlint and, at the craft house, I helped Nex by grinding the recently cut oak into oak dust. He needed it to make scrolls, I think. He was very polite and generous about the whole situation, offering a reward. The best thing I could think of was to get my dire mace enchanted, but I was still a long way from being able to handle an enchanted iron dire mace (he said bronze didn't work well with enchantments).
