Clothing not appearing
« on: March 07, 2010, 04:56:07 am »
Heres one i cant find anything on,

my happy little orc shaman cannibal is now in the world. Appearing in Hemp I took 1st level as sorcerer and found he couldnt put on any clothing or se armour etc. Running around in very little i did some shopping and then logged. Broought him back and wen and got a flag and then took 1st level cleric. he can now have the basic hides placed as it to wear but it does change graphically how he appears  ie, hes still all but naked.

Any ideas on how i get it so he can wear dark clothing and sneak about whilst his abilities improve and not just saunter through the town with a sign on his head saying  "Im orc, please destroy me"

.......although Pyrtechon might be pleased

I do believe you need to have a custom appearance applied by a GM similar to that of the half giants.

Correct.  The orc models are not dynamic (i.e. don't show clothing and even some weapons when equipped) so you would need to change to a model which does support those things.

It's important to note, however, that regardless of which model you might have, it doesn't really disguise the fact that your orc is an orc (i.e. size, shape and face) and that he still will not be permitted in Port Hempstead (and possibly other towns, depending).  Clothing, however clever, will also not disguise this, and there are IC consequences for being in places that disallow monstrous races.
