Krandor Deep Crypts door transition
« on: February 25, 2008, 02:12:07 am »
Description: There is a door that opens, and seems like it should be an AT, but cannot be entered. Since without being able to go through that door makes the area a single, rather anti-climactic corridor, I am fairly sure this is not intentional... I know at point there was more to the area, with very very nasty undead things at the end.

Location: Krandor deep crypts, to the left after coming through the jeweled door AT.

Verified:

Reproducable: Certainly should be.

Okay, this isn't an AT bug; when opening the door, it looks completely dark, as though it were an AT door that cannot be walked through. You can, however, still walk through it, and after going through it, it no longer appears dark, from either side of the door.
So, I'm not sure whether this is a bug, or an intentional shroud of darkness...

Invisible transition trigger?

It's not actually a transition, it just looks like a transition. I had thought it was the same as this bug: http://forums.layonara.com/next-update/151852-elemental-balance-broken-transition.html
But it isn't.

When I went there, both me and the other player assumed it was a bug, like above, and were unable to figure out how to get through
I went there again, and someone in my party was smarter than me, and just walked through :-)
So, if it's intended to fool people like me who make silly assumptions into thinking nothing is there, or to be a cautionary darkness, since that's where things get nasty, then this should be removed as a bug.

If, however, it is just a graphical oversight/glitch, I think it should be looked at since I'm not the only person to be fooled into thinking it is a bug and impassible.

I remember this from testing, and I honestly don't know if it's a tileset thing or something intentional.  But as has been said, it's not a transition or anything "broken" short of a possibly graphical glitch.
