Server crash 12:00am NZEST

Description: At 12:00 NZEST  (World Time here) the Server hangs itself and everyone gets kicks off. Its happened to us twice and Dezza happened to observe it too.

I crashed at this time too. quest made placeables remained however...so I am assuming server stayed up ?

True...its like a boot off all the players?

Yes and has occured just about every night over the last week at the same time.

Server stays up it seems but everyone is booted as if server has crashed and we are disconnected. It is then a few minutes (in tonights case about 5 minutes) before we can relog back into server.

IT could be a problem on the server side, not necessarily the server itself, but power or connection problems could be the cause, though if it's THAT routine that it's every hour?  Hmmm...

I don't know if this will help, but I noticed when logging into West an hour ago that Caerwyn went through the 'Eye of the Storm' even though he had been on that server last night and the Server Status page shows West as having been up for 50+ hours

Server Status is apparently inaccurate. West and Central were both updated last night (i.e. less than 24 hours ago).

Thanks for the report guys, this is exactly at the time of my database backup.

I've changed the logic to not lock the database tables which was the cause of everyone timing out but the server not crashing.  Since the addition of storage to the MySQL database, it probably pushed the locking for too long of a time.

This should no longer happen.
