Gargoyles of the Darkness racial tag.

Location: Rift past the diamonds.

Description: On LORE it states that Gargoyles are part of the magical beast race type. Which means that Platinum arrows should be doing the racial type damage vs magical beast on them. But IG they are not properly tagged to be in accordance with Lore. As I have been getting some 1's in vs racial type. I am using stirge feathers as the negative energy is supposed to bypass the DR. So with the right racial type, the minimum damage vs racial type my arrows should have done is a 2 (+2d6 negative energy damage vs magical beast).

It's not the first time I see it, but before I used to think it was a fluke. This time I've seen it more than once in the same fight.

I'll confirm that they are not tagged as Magical Beasts, but I cannot confirm if they are supposed to be Magical Beasts or not...meaning I don't know what the design intent behind them was.

They are currently tagged as Aberrations, which may have been intentional to reflect some oddness in their physiology...or perhaps they're the product of someone's experiments.

So for now I'll put this in the "unconfirmed" category.
