Skalds Deafening Chant

I just noticed that when I use the Deafening Chant it only affects enemies. Not that I mind this at all , but as the Terrifying Bellow affects everyone around the skald so would I guess the chant would. It is still just sound (and vibrations as the discription says) and would affect everyone unless they are protected in some way. I just thought it seemed a little inconsistent, and would like to hear if it is how it is intended to work.

We decided this is how it would work.  You can RP telling your party members to plug their ears before you chant.
