what i do is i write it here ( lex cdt ) then copy paste in word do the spell check copy past back here. Most spell checker i have seen on forums are rather limited, but aye if a good one could be found this would be a great addition.
Well, more to the point, this would mean that not just CDT posts (or similar, long posts) would get spell-checked - even simple posts like this one would be open to digital scrutiny. Moreover, not everyone may have Word at their disposal - as I said in my initial post, some addicts (*raises hand sheepishly*) have even posted from public computers, say at the library, which serve as little more than an internet terminal. And while there are
online spell-checkers, bringing it to the forum itself would be just that little bit more convenient.
@Hawklen - I had the old spell check extension for Firefox 1.x - I personally prefer the new one in 2.0, but either way you're limited to a browser. The beauty of a forum-based spell check is that it's platform-independent. Opera, Firefox, IE or whichever web browser suits your fancy - even handhelds or cellphones.
